Battle system and skills: 98% done. The artwork is finished for all but 1 enemy. Drafts of the common events are created, I just need to tweak them until I find the right balance. I also need to tweak enemy stats, but I may end up releasing it to you all before I get the balance to where I want it. As you can see in the post graphic, battles should be fun! Aylia should protect her dress a bit more, eh?

That was on March 9th! Wow, I was so damn ignorant. Surprised anyone stuck with me after that little fiasco of a prediction. You guys are amazing, you really are. Quite a bit has changed since that March update. The 98% done battle system has had countless more hours of time added to it. How I thought "tweaking enemy stats" and balancing it all constituted 2% is beyond me.
So, what has changed since then? An entirely new main quest with branches was added. A number of side quests and mini events were added. I extended two map sections with additional maps. Rewrote dialogue, added tutorials, changed a number of mini-events from the prologue to chapter 1 to keep things fresh. Commissioned 2 songs and added a number of sound effects. Nothing really on the animation front, and kept the day/night stuff the same. Reworked the battle H to make it way cooler, but took more work.
In the end, the chapter 1 experience and game foundation is more complete than what I had setup back then. Still, I've learned my lesson in trying to formulate predictions and assign percentage values--especially to things I've never done. My hope is when I give out the next release date, I can actually hit it.
On that note, where am I on chapter 1. Well, last week I said I was going to work on eventing those newly minted maps, but I got sidetracked. Instead, I worked on adjusting enemy skills to work with the new enemy AI script. The picture above gives you a indication of the number custom scripts in this game. The list is too long for one screenshot (as RPG Maker does not let me resize that window (kind of silly). Yanfly's skill restrictions seems to be working as intended, and I think it will do the job. I've still got a little to do on setting up the enemy attack patterns, but now that I know what I'm doing, it will not take long. There are not that many enemies to set up.
I did get started on eventing those new maps, and I'll continue working on it this week. As I said before, once that is done, I should be able to give you guys a real release date for the beta. At that point, I'll have everything in place to know exactly how many more CGs I want to in the chapter. Drawing is something I am familiar with, so I can predict that timeframe.
I'll keep you guys informed and maybe make another lore post later this week. I want to do one on the Eliandre.

After having worked on and seen the amount of custom scripts YummyTiger uses, I'm still amazed that everything seems to work together without issues.

Yes, but you'll probably be waiting a chapter or 2. I don't foresee anything like that occurring until later in the game and Aylia is more corrupted. I've never drawn a gang bang scene, so we'll see if I screw it up :-). I've toyed with having a mini harem route with Aylia and a rival or 2, but that is not 100% in the game at this point. I've got the entire main plot outlined with detailed notes, a good number of side quests, H events, and monsters planned, but a lot of the specific sex scenes will be decided on when I reach that point.
Hey yummy keep up the good work.. I wanted to ask will there be any good gangbang scenes? Because that's my cup of tea, i hope there will be something, I don't care if it would be bogworth's clone ninja technique or bandit stuff ;D Can't wait to see what the game looks now anyway.

Thanks! I really do care about delivering kickass content. And, I've not cut any of the cool features I planned, even though they have taken a crapload of time to implement in some regards. What is so cool to me is that once I have this game where I want it, I can build upon it even further for future titles. The sky's the limit! Well, that and 640x480, HAHA!

Oh, Yummy. Don't you know that we, the H-game audience, demand frequent bug-laden, half-cocked, poorly-coded, hastily-thrown-together kludge releases rather than "patiently" waiting for good, detailed, quality work that looks and feels like a smooth gaming experience? Especially when we're paying money to the creator per release? Get with the program already! </sarcasm> Seriously, all indications thus far are that you both care about delivering a kick-ass product, and have a clue about how to do so. And we also all know that the Chapter 1 release is going to be your best advertisement for the rest of the game, so it needs to be pretty well polished. Keep on keepin' on! (I'll also claim at least partial blame for forcing some of the dialogue rewrite with a flood of red ink from the prologue, lol.)

Well, I was confident that saves would transfer over in future releases, but was not sure if I would have things figured out completely for the chapter 1 release. Since I definitely didn't rush this release out the door, I have taken the time to properly plan stats, skills, etc., meaning I don't think the stuff already in the database will change much. Really, it would just be adding new stuff as the game is further developed. To my knowledge, as long as I don't change database entries already setup, or add new scripts, the saves should transfer just fine.
i am happy to hear about the saves since that would have been a pain after each chapter lol and happy you ain't releasing it until its ready to start to get money that's why you deserve every last one of us supporting you

Thanks! One plus to this whole extended wait is that I believe I will have the database where I need it. So, there is a good chance saves will transfer over. At least that's something. Well, that and the game is far better in my mind.
