Hunter's Quest Purchase Instructions (Public Release)

You still need to apply the translation, as this is an unofficial translation.
If for some crazy reason, you want to purchase the game via the Japanese DLSite. I'll leave the instructions up below:
I do want to mention, you have to have a credit card to purchase the game on the Japanese site. Apparently, there may be a way to purchase using Paypal if you go to the G-Rated DLSite and buy points, but I've never done it that way, and am unfamiliar.
(NOTE: Chrome is useful for this, as you can use the translate webpage feature)
Step #1 - Go to the Japanese DLSite at www.dlsite.com/maniax
Step #2 - Once there, I'd highly recommend creating a username. That way, you have easy access to all your purchased files. Use the "Log In button" to do so. Here is an image: http://i.imgur.com/6gipV5w.jpg

Step #5 - Log into your email, and confirm your account.
Step #6 - Go to the Hunter's Quest webpage - http://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ131569
Step #7 - Add the game to your cart (It costs $12.91). Image: http://i.imgur.com/euYlSHW.jpg
Step #8 - Go to your cart (see previous image)

Step #10 - Download the game.

Is your account on the English side? If so, I don't believe it'll work for the Japanese side. That is not DLSite's doing, but Japanese laws restricting sales of certain products outside the country. Therefore, you have to create a separate account for the Japanese side. NOTE: This is my understanding, I may be wrong here.

So i tried this, it extracted the file and everything. But when i try to open the game it says file corrupted

if you have downloaded HQ and can not get it installed you need to try downloading this one too just like me I have before installed and run japanese games without any problems on my vista and win98 but for some reason when I had to get a new PC which came with windows 8.1 I had not ben able since for example Hunter Quest My audio files whe nI extrat it normal with 7z, winrar or even standart windows unzip my "Audio" folders files for hunter quest looked something like this ^˜H’n‚Å‚Ì“¦‘–_ÅIƒV[ƒ“.wav If you are running win ME or Win8 /8.1 you may need to use this one <a href="https://github.com/kjerk/sjisunzip" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://github.com/kjerk/sjisunzip</a> 1) download it unzip it and the put both the game and the file above in the same folder 2) then drag hunter quest zip file onto and it will extrat it 3) Rename the downloaded name folder to something else mine are called HQ104c exsample C:\backer\games\YummyTiger\RJ131569\HQ104c 4) of cause you still need to use YummyTigers great work afterwards to translate it though :) Now the Audio file abow looks like this 娼館にて_王子の館.wav and after translating with YummyTiger's instruction and files. The game everything worked correctly I even completed hunter quest pure route I started yesterday and finished at around 3 hours ago :) ::EDIT:: To include a new step

I can't even run the game in it's default language. just get a file corrupted error.

Well, the "Buy points from the G-Rated DLSite." trick only works on the English DLSite page, as far as I know.
