Word smithing can be an art. I don’t write fiction but papers and reports. A ten page paper could take a week to word smith and then send it to the editors for their comments. Then it usually is two or three days to make final corrections.

Honestly, I completely understand. Wordiness is something that professional writing teaches you how to avoid, but from my experiences, it's better if you have a second pair of eyes helping you edit. It is really difficult to do it by yourself. I'd offer my services.... but a part of me kinda wants everything of Chapter 1 to be a surprise... And a part of me really wants a peek.

Hey YT! Thanks for the update! Just an offer, but I'm a recent graduate from an English program, and I've had a lot of experience editing essays, and even some experience editing professor's manuscripts. If you need a second pair of eyes to pick up those rhetorical, grammar or style issues, I'd be happy to help.

3 day process. Got it. Thanks!

Yummy, I totally feel your pain, if you get really stumped my wife writes as well and I proofread / edit her work, if you need help holler. (She has done several Drabbles for the Drabbler, and is also published under Yard Dog Press / Big Pulp)

I won't. The revamps might have seen endless, but they were really a result of my artwork developing as I spent more and more time drawing. I go through a major edit like this for everything I release (writing, translations, etc.) It is important to avoiding overly wordy or disjointed writing.

Don't worry, if I've proven anything, it's that I take definitely take my time :-) You'll have to wait and see, but I've made a lot of changes to things during this time, and I will apply it to Chapter 2. We'll see how it goes, but my goal remains a chapter every 2-3 months after this first one is released. If I can manage that, then I can start doing things like hiring people to speed it up even further.

Let's be honest, I don't think many people even expect that from AAA games anymore with how some have turned out.

I feel like, at this stage, it's more important you take the time you feel you need for editing than trying to do any form of rush on it. I want you to release something you're happy with. After the release you can work out where you spent the most time that you didn't need to and use that to guide scheduling for Chapter 2.

Im glad work is progressing but i hope you wont get caught in endless cycle of improving things.

Yummy, this isn't an AAA title, we don't expect perfect dialogue and top notch events. Just make sure your fans don't die like poor old bogworth did before you release that damn chapter :D
