October Mid-Month Update
🕑 Added 2017-10-16 07:15:13 +0000 UTC Hello everyone,I could probably about copy/paste the October 1st update as it still applies. I've not made much progress since about 9 days ago, and I apologize if that frustrates you. It's been a trying time.
This week should not be a repeat. The funeral is done, my extended family has flown home, and I'm more upbeat about working on the game. I'll be back on Discord tomorrow, and will get answer any questions that came in while I was offline.
What to expect in the second half of October:
1. The next Aylia's Story release
2. The first higher resolution artwork pack (1024x768)
3. MiB's introduction and preliminary dev tutorial (He sent it to me in early October, but I've not had time to look it over, edit it, and post it).
Status of Aylia's Story:
Prologue is still done and no more revamping, all chapter 1 maps are in place for the next release (including two new smaller maps), the main quest lines are in place and ready to go, all quest board side quests are ready to go, standing portraits for the rivals, Aylia, and Bogwort were finalized and height adjusted for consistency (Bogwort is short again).

Not too much going on in Discord, a bit of discussion about general game dev ideas. I think people are just losing interest with the "Updates are on the way" updates. I think this is good for everyone, as YT gets to work without the hypetrain pressure, and people still get to enjoy the game when it comes out. There's only so much to discuss on the same information being relayed.

Starting to see comments drop off a bit lately. Are people losing interest or has most of the activity moved to the discord?

Yes and no. We pay to support these creators, and if they don't deliver like they state they will, then we'll get mad. It's been how long since a new update? October is half over, that's one promise down. This is ALMOST as bad as ViperV. You don't speak for everyone.

It's great we're getting updates more regularly now - even if it is to say there's been little progress! I think just forget October and be with yourself for a while after all that's happened! We'll await the Nov update for news of when to expect the next release!
