"Nothing" is free too, which is what we've gotten so far, unless you count the release he told us not to play. So yea you say it's free, but that means jack squat. In any case we're entering the holidays now so the chance of a release before February is around nil going by past experiences. Yummy seems extremely stubborn about those last scenes, so it's doubtful there will be any release before they're done.

I never said it was a scam, I'd just like think not being a scam isn't the most we can ask for.

The thing I'm worried about is the epidemic of heart attacks that will sweep the community when it does get released. Everyone's little minds will be blown. For a week. Then we'll be saying "When's the next update?"

That's why I said pledged not paid. Sure you can release it for free but you're still on a site whose purpose is for people to give you money. I just don't think the mantra of "it's free" is helping. Eventually the people reading this will have been charged money for part 1 and will be waiting for part 2. If it then takes another 8+ months to get that, what then? If you want this to be a hobby you do for fun then by all means take as long as you want. But if you're gonna ask people to fund this as a project then I think it's fair to ask for some basic level of reliability.

Incorrect. Past releases and future releases will be available to download for free. You can play the game and never pledge anything. That is free. As for the locked post, most people pledging have not paid anything, they've pledged that they are considering paying something when a release drops. Finally, YOU can easily "delete" this Patreon. Simply unpledge and move on. This post was from August, pretty sure I have gone silent until I have something worthwhile to post. That said, you can definitely complain or offer criticism, just try to keep it constructive.

It's not free though. We're being asked to pay for part 1 of like 10+ at some point in the future. This is a locked post so everyone reading this must have pledged something. Yummy should have just deleted the Patreon like he said he would and gone silent till he actually had something to show that this isn't a colossal waste of everyone's time.

It depends on if I can hit the 10 scene threshold. If so, then yes, I plan to make the upcoming release a pledged update, if not, then the next release will be a pledged update. Currently, I'm at 7 scenes and counting.

You're right, it's another broken promise in a string of broken promises. My sole focus has been on using all my time on getting a release out the door. I need to stop making promises, I know this, and yet I keep doing it. If I'm able, I will post the teaser. My time is limited, so the release takes priority. It's not much of an excuse, but I did believe I would have it ready and kind of thought the release itself would more than make up for it.

Interesting, going by Trello I think this is the closest Yummy has ever been to a real release since the prologue. Ah who am I kidding, once he is at the last task it'll be revamp time! In all seriousness, GL getting a release out at the crossroads of September and October Yummy. Get that sucker out there so we have a real start point to go from...and don't get too bogged down with your perfectionism.

Sometimes I've thought that, but he did produce a finished translation one time. I think he just has serious procrastination issues, then when he misses a deadline he takes it as an excuse for another vacation + more revamping. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam and this is what you get. If he can stop with the revamping we might get something someday.

I'm still hoping that you just release something out of the blue right now, but it feels like it's not going to happen. I mean, you can't even be bothered to upload the cg like you promised. Is this all just one big prank or something?

So the CG that was from the update that will not be from the update but recycled from the ancient material (but mind you, resized), has not come yet. Same old same old. So this is the new revamped approach YT?
