Teaser - Anatomy of a Rival Quest
🕑 Added 2023-11-30 06:03:11 +0000 UTCFor the first teaser, I wanted to describe one of the rival quests in the next release. This is a fairly simple quest, but it still offers plenty of opportunity to allow player choice and dynamically impact the game based on the choice.
In most rival quests, the player will be presented with a choice that will put either Aylia or the Rival in the "crosshairs" for sexy situations. Based on that decision, quests will branch in different ways. Eventing throughout the maps will change, characters involved and their locations will change, and potential mini-exploration events will become available.
As this is an adult game, nearly every quest should involve some kind of adult scenes. In rival quests, those scenes will directly impact whichever character ended up as the primary target based on the player's early decision. That decision and the scene that plays out also then impacts how Aylia's character grows. For example, in this quest if the Rival's branch is chosen, Aylia learns about seduction in a different way that if she ends up the primary. That in turn impacts her skills that she might learn.
As you can see, this means there are multiple scenes with multiple pieces of artwork involved. It ends up being quite a bit different from the standard fetch quest-style mechanic and I believe makes a MUCH more exciting experience. The next release will contain at least 1 Kira quest and 1 Triste quest (the Triste quest is much more elaborate at this time).
On to the news: Between now and the release, I'm going to be posting bi-weekly updates to keep you all informed and to show you a few more teasers. Next up, I'm going to do the Anatomy of a Battle. I'll keep the teaser artwork cropped and small like above in order to preserve the excitement of actually playing this release. You WILL have a release by the end of March 2024.

"dynamic interactions leading to scenes" i hope they are interactions that you choose where to touch, that is, the typical interactive image with happy or angry bars depending on where you touch, very grope please, an example is the mine scene, I could see it being interactive with Bogwort's hand taking advantage of touching when She is looking at the wall and avoiding when she looks back, it's just an idea, although this game is full of possibilities for minigames or interactions of that type

Yes, rivals have progression as well, but it is not as elaborate as Aylia's will be.

A harem ending is not out of the cards. It is kind of a "stretch" goal for me at the moment. Got to get the base game in place before adding anything else. That said, there will definitely be scenes with Aylia and rivals.

Yes, the game will require replaying in order to see all the content. I'll probably include an "unlock all" option in the scene viewer, but I can tell you right now that you'll lose a lot of the scene context by simply viewing them in the scene viewer. This game is being built on dynamic interactions leading to scenes. Still, I'll try to make it so people who only want to play once can see most of the content at the end if they want.

Possibly yummy can think of a way that in the late game or end game you can somehow increase the perversion of the ones you leave behind, obviously you will lose the rival quest scenes, but you could have a harem in the end or at least that believe

Yup. Sure. The thing is, I'd love them ALL to 'evolve' in a certain way. ;-) But don't mind me. Just shared some thoughts.

well, the easiest thing is multisave, I prefer to see little by little how they evolve according to my choices, if you are curious about another route to see scenes, reload the save

This is a good question, Aylia will arrive at the same skill progression, but what about corruption (perversion), or her pride along the way.

This looks and sounds damn nice. Like the concept. One concern though: won't we miss a lot of (spicy) content due to choices we make? Since it's either girl A OR girl B in a given situation? What if we like both? And wouldn't it be more efficient in terms of content (for us) and workload (for you), if you'd show ALL the content instead of 'just' one OR the other according to choices picked along the way? I know me. And I know I will have a hard time making a choice between Aylia and Triste. - Sorry, I am just a greedy bastard and don't want to miss out on any of the cool stuff you have in store for us! :D I am sure I will love it anyway. Thank you for the update!

What makes me wonder if the rivals have progress in perversion, if you choose them a lot as primaries, each time their scenes will be more progressive depending on how many times they have scenes, basically like Aylia, it depends on whether you choose whether her pride or perversion will increase, but in this case the rivals
