I’m Nutshell. It's already been a year since Patreon started.
Thank you so much for receiving more love and attention than I thought. Since there are new people, I would like to introduce myself again and tell you about next year's strategies, plans, and goals.
Nutshell Atelier consists of two people, me and Shuarin.
We are both 3D modelers living in South Korea, and I am in charge of managing and modeling. And Shuarin is currently helping me from time to time while working at the company.
My lifelong dream is to create a game with IP that players can participate in together. I am just a tool, and I think you are the true creators. Sometimes, when I look at the works on the discord, I see works with brilliant ideas. I want to make a game with our stories.

About the production…
Currently, miniature production is produced quarterly only by selecting candidates to be produced in advance and voting. And reflect your feedback, determine your taste and exposure, I sculpt and distribute them.
I want to stick to the current method and meet your needs more. And I also want to try artistic challenges.
First of all, I would like to impose a character design template. I think it will be difficult to find miniatures that are 100% satisfied even if you are 80 to 90 percent satisfied. So there are people who ask about the commission work, and If I accept the commission, it will be hard to pay attention to the rewards for the patrons. it will damage each other. I would like to propose a character design template. So please provide a character design template and write down what you want. I think it would be better to produce it through screening with other sponsors and my colleagues. I think we will be able to produce better works through brainstorming with each other.
And one of my goals for 2022 is to sculpt diorama work. Currently, my work is very simple. Standing or sitting poses and objects in your hand are all. Because of the time is limited, so the work is monotonous and very limited. If the opportunity and time allow, I want to install various objects (chairs, bed walls, floors, etc.) and make you have fun with various poses.
Finally, I am also thinking about differentiating rewards.
There are people who silently sponsor me for a long time. Thanks to this, I am living without much concern. However, on the side of my heart, there is always a regret that I cannot give them greater compensation. So I thought about a few things, and I would like to produce a compensation miniature that is differentiated by the deadline and amount you sponsored. I will offer new miniatures for every $100. And I would like to give other rewards to those who sponsored on a yearly basis. This work will not be sold separately or provided to Patreon general sponsors, but will be sent to individual e-mails.

About finance.
When I started in June 2020, the first month's sales were only $15. However, thanks to your advice and support, sales have begun to increase, and as a result, the current rent and living expenses have been covered. Thank you very much for this.
The reason for disclosing sales details is that I think you are investors beyond just fans or sponsors. And in the future, I will set up a company and disclose sales details periodically so that I will disclose the revenue details and expenditures.
One of the goals of 2022 is to rent an office to start a company and try mass production. And if we make a bigger income, we would like to hire another modeler to increase production and shorten production time to give you greater rewards.
Considering the minimum start-up cost, you need more than 35,000 to 50,000 dollars. Rent and labor costs will probably take up the biggest cost, and I think I need it when I buy computers, printers, and other items for the office.
If the number of sponsors increases in the same order as now, it will be at least possible to pay for office rental after June next year.
Next year's goal is to double sales. Conservative estimates that it will increase by 30%, but the goal is to cheer up and generate big sales.

About the management.
As you know, Patreon's compensation is currently very poor compared to others. I'm always aware of this and I'm always sorry for making you feel no other merit at this point. As I said above, I think we can increase sales and hire people to solve this problem.
Shamefully, I haven't done 3d printing yet, and I bought a printer, but all management was transferred to Shuarin. For me, this is a very big drawback. Currently, I can't manage it myself due to the narrow space, but if I have an independent space, I think I can learn the printing process first and identify the shortcomings of my works.
It's my first time running something, so I need a lot of help from you. For example, I'm no different from a beginner in miniature games or painting yet.
I don't know how this industry works. So I desperately need your help for development.
Currently, all my works are sold in three places. These are MMF/Cult3d/CGtraders. We plan to increase sales by increasing sales outlets further. However, we are still thinking about which platform is appropriate. If you have any recommendations, please leave a comment or DM.
Lastly, I promise to support all my works only for patrons.I promise to provide all support even if it takes time, such as modeling that is difficult to print, cutting the parts you want, or adding other parts. I hate it when my work is inconvenient for you. If you have any complaints, please actively protest. I want to make it as convenient as possible for you.

Here's my opinion, but I may be wrong. I help manage a facebook group that advertises for sculptors. The consensus there is piracy is an unsolvable problem, and most creators are moving to Patreon/Tribes. The artist is paid up front so piracy is not so much of an issue. Kickstarter/Fundrazr are other good options. I think the popularity of 3d sculpts is decreasing. People have all the armies they want and are dropping out of Patreons.

Thanks for sharing the information. In terms of production, I'm excited to see your dioramas, and about different types of rewards and new models. In terms of finance, I'm happy to hear that your income is increasing, is showing some stability, and that you're thinking about finding an office space to rent. I don't know if you live in/near Seoul or not, but I have a lot of family that lives all over Korea (서울특별시, 경기도, 충청남도, 전라북도, 광주광역시), so I know how expensive space is, and how tight space can be. I hope everything works out well for you to find that work space. And for management, in all honesty, I haven't done any 3D printing either! I have a printer that will be arriving some day though, so maybe not too far in the future. I think there's no problem that you haven't done it yet. I'm not sure if you've ever been involved in the 프라모델 hobby in Korea, this is what 3D printing feels like for me, with putting kits together, cleaning, gluing, painting, etc.. I think the 프라모델 hobby is more common in Western countries, so if you can try it out, especially with a larger office space, that would be great. When I lived in Korea, I actually stopped doing my models hobby because I just didn't have any space (and I had young kids to keep away from knives). Finally, I've seen a number of other 3D modeling patreons using Gumroads. Not sure if it's a good option on top of the ones you already use, but you might be interested in looking into it. I'll DM you some links to examples. Anyways, keep up the good work. :)
