Gale and the others running ahead were about 40 meters away.
A bright blue flash collided with the huge dragon's chest in front of us, causing its flesh to explode.

Ooh. The wording sounds weird but I'm guessing when they accelerated it was the dragon and not the light bullets. It makes it sound like they accidentally destroyed the capital with the Sword Saint's attack. "While shattering, the barrier repelled the light bullets and sent them soaring into the sky. And accelerated even further, and the royal capital disappeared from sight."
