It's not her best album but it's certainly an interesting and underated one for sure. She wrote it when she was living in the UK and married to Guy Ritchie. I think she genuinely truly loves the US but residing somewhere else for a time can make you see the flaws in a place. Especially the idea of the pursuit of wealth over all else can make you happy.
