Done (?)

well after today's rather short workbench session (had to do some work in the backyard), I want to say the build is done and ready for painting, but I'm not quite sure...
Basically I only added a few more very tiny details and that's that. The rest was more about... regress rather than progress π
I made the ghetto fender from copper, but didn't like how it looked so I tore it off and kept the model without it, because there are photos portraying the real tank without it.
Also went ahead and sculpted the sandbags... Turns out I kinda forgot how to make them and it took me a while to remember the basic steps, but so far I've only done them in 35th scale, which isn't much different except the tied knot at the end of the bag. I feel like those don't really look the part but I just decided to call it a day (or night).
Now my initial idea was to just stop overthinking it and call it done and ready for paint, then I thought to make the bags all over again and add some of those tarps that I initially wanted to do, then I thought like yeah, I'll definitely do that and won't even share today's progress and give you the final product tomorrow... but at the end of the day I thought hey, why not post and ask you?
So, what do you think, should I call it done and move on, or give it one more day and make it look better? Well, better is of course a questionable term!

Ouch lol! I mean those which I did here are not very good either. A few years ago I was preparing for a sandbagged Sherman project which I never did, but I did practice a lot and I was pretty good at sculpting them, with folds, wrinkles, everything. But you know... not much practice since then and I lost the grip on the technique. But the basic way to do them is to roll a rather thick noodle, which is about the size of the bag, cut it to length and squish one end between your fingers (the bottom of the bag). Round the top, place it on the model and form it around the tank's details. The knot at the top can be made simply from a tiny ball of putty with a small hole punched into it. The sewing detail along the bag can be made with the tip of a hobby blade. This was my friend's method and although they didn't look top notch, they were decent and once he painted them the overall impression was very good.

2 days ago I have tried to « magicsculptΒ Β» some sand bags and at the end they are more looking like dog poo π. You said there is basics and way to do it properly!? I would be quite interested π€©π€©π€©. Please share ππ»
