How about that
🕑 Added 2020-05-08 22:40:23 +0000 UTCTime to get back to using real earth π But this time for a slightly different effect. Sure, there's the usual dust and dirt build-up, but also rubble! If you paint each clump with acrylic colors, it pretty much looks like broken pieces of cinderblocks, concrete or bricks. I've used this method once on a 1/35th scale T-62 and it didn't look that good when compared to a T-72 I did later where I used actual gravel, broken pieces of plaster and cast bricks. But in 72nd scale... I believe it works just fine.
It was time consuming, sure, but I think it will add a lot of visual detail once the model is weathered with dust effects. I'm gonna apply those tomorrow because today was a little busier than usual. I already have the Aqualine paints ready, and this time we'll most likely go for a more light grey tone.
Let's see how that goes... tomorrow!
