Finally some enamel stuff

Well, in fact I also applied a grey filter on it, just two light layers to blend the black camo with the sand tone a little bit. Then of course I had to give it several hours to dry which slowed me down a bit (it's ideal to apply a filter, let's say, in the evening, so you can give it enough time to dry overnight).
The wash was DAK wash from AK and I diluted it a bit to make it less intense. I used it to also add some streaking effects (still kinda practicing those) and subtle speckling. I'm trying to keep the amount of effects and color palette limited so I don't overwhelm the post-shading. For example, the heavy streaking on the bottom of the turret is visible on the real tank photo as well, so I'm tempted to leave that as the final appearance.
Also, looking at those photos I noticed a few streaks that are too big or symmetrical, so I'm going to quickly fix those before they dry completely.

I actually experimented a little with different camera settings to make the footage more life-like. I'm tempted to release it as a separate video to test the results.

In this case it was a greyish-tan filter, but it's labeled as Grey for sand vehicles. It's more on the greyish side. The reason is because I wanted the Light Stone base coat to be less saturated, and the black spots to have a slight dust-like film over them. This way the contrast won't be so strong and they won't be so different, if that makes any sense. Sand colors are warm, while greys and blacks are cold - so they needed something to subtly unify them.

So good. Digging the matching angles! The gray filters are really nice. May I ask why gray vs some other color? I am a filter novice so trying to wrap my head around it. I’m sure I’ve done filters before, but not on purpose. Haha.
