Friends: help! Being stupid, I took my 1/35 Takom Jagdtiger with Zimmerit molded into it and laid a layer of simple Tamiya putty over it to hopefully give some accentuation to the Zimmerit. Well, predictably, the putty leveled th surface evenly so now I had to carefully sane it to see if the dried putty could come out. Maybe did a little bit, then a local hobby shop guy mentioned using Mr. Surfacer liquid primer. Did that and almost the same result. So I put a thin layer of Tamiya thin cement on it to hopefully suck some of the primer into the crags of the Zimmerit. Result? Now I’m buying aftermarket Eduard Zimmerit appliqué to get the Zimmerit back on the model. Huge. Mistake. Rookie mistake.stupid!

I just joined your team. This Tank was the reason. I can't believe that you have taught me so much. I am a retired Pastor living in Florida. I have been modeling for 25 years. I feel like such a novice after watching your work.
