We have paid a couple dollars a month to have $6000 insurance on my wife’s for 25 years now. In 2020 her ring fell off for the first time ever when she took out the garbage. She had lost weight. After looking for 2 days we called USAA and said the ring was lost. They just said if it’s still gone after 7 days call and they would send us a $6000 check. The next day we found it in the gutter in front of our house. Good thing it had not rained. Still surprised how easy the claim was going to be.

Jeff Titterington

Yes, we're happy with your rabbit holes and "what (you) found."

JCfromNC

Well, now I don't feel so bad that my wife lost her diamond while working on her mom's ornamental pond.

Dark Lord 0f Pizza

I am very happy with the consequences!

pfreya

Please don’t throw the expensive rings on the ground 😄

Alex Taylor

We took my wife’s Ring to a hock shop. The diamond is 0.98ct. They said they would give us the gold value. Since the mined diamond was not a full carat it was worth zero. Good thing we never needed to sell the ring.

Financial Audit is a YouTube channel where a guy called Caleb Hammer (not his real name, obviously) yells at people who are deeply in debt because of Pokemon cards or Disney trips or ridiculous cars or OnlyFans or whatever. Sometimes they change their lives, which is nice. Sometimes they just yell at him about how capitalism is evil.

Brenton Clark

Total side tangent, but is there a show or something called "Financial Audit" in the UK? You made a couple of references to someone "showing up on financial audit" that did not make sense to my auditor brain. In the US, 'financial audit' refers to a review of the financial statements at a business, organization, or government, and generally doesn't apply to individuals.

Taia Hartman

Yes Jill, we are very happy to watch your random rabbit hole videos.

Ed DeBruyn

What do you call the present after a scheduled C-section, a "cut present"?

Natalie Arnold

So many ragebaits to throw on the ground. ETA: Commented that before checking how many other people had responded. Sorry if its the millionth repeat!

Brenton Clark

Happy to suffer the consequences in this case! :D

Owen Wells

De Beers have spent an awful lot of money over the last century or so trying to get people to think just that....ok maybe they don't say the child miner bit out loud, but they sure as heck don't care about them either

Eric Knaak

I'm rage commenting, that you are a nice person that talks about interesting things in an entertaining way.

I've requested the hardcopy of Just Stab Me Now from my library (despite having the audiobook and the eBook), which may increase its rankings in whatever Inter-Library-Loan book-popularity scheme the US library system tracks. Other fans might likewise do so in the hopes of assisting with the dissemination of such a fun book.

Elizabeth Claassen

Oh, wow. I'd not heard of the "push present" before, and after hearing you explain it, I'm 100% in agreement with you on the phrase. Just hearing it makes my hair stand on end. I hope to never hear it again!

Anders

Just don't ask Peter Singer what you could show, because that will be depressing.

Anders

Yeah, I wonder too.

Crochet4Joy

OK, I give - what's the joke I missed about the four rings?? And when I saw "armor vs diamonds" in the teaser, I was expecting something like the "YouTube plaque vs sword" or "corset vs knife" video! :-D

Lexy Gabb

If my husband gave me a "push present" let it be a handmade coupon book for unlimited chocolate and naps on demand. The child is THE "push present".

Winslow

How many monarchs have given "push presents" routinely over the centuries?

Shaun Abdelkerim

[singing] "We'll make a trade called barter"

"Jill falls down the rabbit hole" videos are my favourite kind of videos (well, after Just Space Me Now). Honestly. On one of the public YouTibe vids recently you mentioned the RomanceCon video for us Patreon folks, and you seemed almost apologetic for making super random vids where you get very in depth on random things. Don't be - I'm here for it. I love the random deep dives!

Anders

The best push present is obviously some kind of sword.

Anders

Also, that is not a flattering thumbnail.

Jessie Erickson

When I find someone I enjoy listening to, i.e. you, it almost doesn't matter what they talk about! People being passionate about what they find interesting is one of the joys of people!

Jill Bearup

"You're tacky and I hate you!" is a quote from Freddie in the movie School of Rock XD

Andrew Denton

These are consequences I will suffer, and gladly.

Ann Brookens

Oh, now! THERE you go! Apparently, I like the way you think!

Ekij

4:03 Jill is channelling Sydney Watson! These are not the bots I was looking for.

shift shift

If I Push like and subscribe do I get a present?

Paul Compton

It's a BOT om less pit. I recall De Beers are micro etching their diamonds, because it's the only way to tell them from the best grown examples. When you mentioned your husband suggesting a used car to compare to the cost of your armour, my mind combined the two and piped up 'Armored car!'. Apparently you could have four AML 60 Panhards for just 3600 Euro! https://www.milweb.net/classified_images/img_34311.jpg https://www.milweb.net/classifieds.php?type=1

Anders

Re: Natural diamonds. What I *really* want to know is if some child mined this, and if they suffered. That really adds value to the diamond. Shed tears and blood is what makes a good ornament.
