Looks pretty much finished doesn't it?
🕑 Added 2021-02-04 17:39:49 +0000 UTCMy friends, the pinwash was more complicated on this one! But as a reward the model looks like it's already done, except some small bits and stowage of course.
So what was different this time... I don't know if it was the old wash bottle or the surface of the model, but somehow it was more difficult to blend. Not that it was hard to wipe off, but it kept leaving visible remnants of paint which required more effort to remove completely. As such, I had to work in very small sections. That's also why my original plan to do it all in one day fell completely apart. However, I'm very happy with the result!
The wash in question is Dark Brown For Green Vehicles from AK. It works like a dream on Panzer Grey because it nicely balances the cold greyish tones with its warm black-brown hue. It also works really well with the pre-dusting.
It's almost as if the model doesn't even need rust washes over the chipping! Right? But of course I'll add some, just here and there though because I'm really happy with how it looks now.
However, that will have to wait for a day, because I need to make a video out of this. Not only because my weekly deadline is coming to an end, but also because, well, it looks almost finished π
(the stowage bits are just dry-fitted in place and not finished either, and the metal tools were treated with the same rust wash combo like the spare tracks or the exhaust).

Hmmm, could be! I also found that I had to shake the bottle really well, because first time I poured into my palette it started immediately "crawling" up the pool if that makes any sense. As if the binder/thinner started immediately separating.

This looks really like heavy metal. Maybe the difference with the enamel wash is that you did some chipping beforehand this time using chipping fluid and the tamiya dirt mixture. This could have changed the surface to be more grainy and more difficult to remove the wash. I experienced something similar in the past when I followed the procedure you did for the 1/100 StuG with a winter white wash.
