Stefan wins a miniature of his choice costing no more than $10 and suitable for Zero Dark (I leave plenty of leeway in terms of what counts as "suitable") which I will paint to the very best of my ability and ship to him.
In the interests of full disclosure, Stefan is, actually, an IRL friend of mine. He was generated entirely at random (I used a dice app) and I swear no shenanigans is going on. However, he has been known to consort with the Dark Powers, so if it happens again next month, I'll call an exorcist!
I'll post pics of his choice of mini and what I do with it in due course.
While I have your attention, though, I thought you might like to know that we've had a truly wonderful influx of new patrons, recently, pushing me within touching distance of $50/month. This is paying my Adobe subscription that allows me to do the layouts and print-ready manuscripts, covering the costs of the Monthly Mini Draw and leaving me enough in reserve that I can start to reach out to artists.
I have a shortlist of people I'd love to have work on this with me, so I'm going to start working my way down that to see if I can come to an arrangement with some of them. In order to have a finished manuscript by the end of March, as planned, I'm going to need to have at least three artists working simultaneously. My hope is for a "splash" artist - the front cover illustration and as many full-colour, fully-finished interior illustrations as I can afford; an environments artist, to do some broad brush landscapes that will give the setting some flavour; and a sketch artist to do some intentionally rough line drawings.
I'll let you know how that goes!

See, we could make this weird. But I'll tell you what I'm going to do - seeing as (a) this is the first time we've done this and (b) it's Christmas. I'm going to re-roll in ONE WEEK to give anyone else who wants in on this a chance to get in. Stefan won't be in the re-roll and the winner will get their choice of $10 mini painted by me. BUT I'm going to do a mini for Stefan AS WELL, because not only is he a stand-up guy for refusing this and giving you all a second bite at the cherry, but he has been a Horizon Wars and Zero Dark supporter for the best part of ten years, since it was but the desperate scribblings of an out-of-work ex-soldier. However, to punish him for not accepting the prize first time around, he will get *my* choice of mini.

You know what? Much as I would *love* a free mini painted to your high standards (especially as I can't paint for toffee), I wouldn't want to give the appearance of impropriety, especially as you are one of the most upstanding and moral people I know. So with that in mind, I would like you to reroll and select a new winner, please. I'm already kicking myself for this, but I have to do the right thing at some point. If I somehow end up winning again in the future I'll take it then
