I wish you all the success. And yeah, I did notice Naofumi in there. I wonder how he treats his "party members," 5$ say he's a lolicon

The Cabbage Preacher

I already have that type of character (Iwagaya Takafumi, whose name uses the same kanji as Iwatani Naofumi from the Shield Hero) who is literally a shield hero clone (being named the "pavise hero"), though he hasn't come into the spotlight yet and was only mentioned as being a part of the count's army. We'll be seeing more of him in future chapters. I actually tried posting the chapters on r/HFY once, but they didn't get much attention back then. I've revised the first few chapters since then, so I should probably follow your advice and begin posting it there.

Glad to be here. Though I wouldn't call HFY bad in general as select series are quite good (NoP my beloved), sometimes you get a series that starts out good, draws you in, and then gives you 10 metaphorical lashings for having the misapprehension that it was going to continue being a good story. In my case specifically this was "I am the monster this world needs" (he is not, and they do not lol) which starts out with the MC getting a divinely ordained mission to enforce justice on a world he's isekai'd to, then immediatley devolves into granting the protag bullshit powers, him owning a massive slave house and getting literally like 12 female slaves in as many chapters, which he immediatley goes out of his way to horribly abuse all while being all like "woe is me, slavery is sooo evil and I wish it would end" like, please. Mf is literally the shield hero on crack mixed with an olde southerner "humane" slaveowner. This idiot would fit right in with all the other slaveowner characters in JBI. Seriously. A minor lord or rich fuck that constantly bemoans slavery and how evil it is and how it souldn't exist, then in the same breath ordering 20 more slaves and then immediately mind r@ping them all with magic fits right in. Shit writes itself, if you ever need another dipshit plantation owner character feel free to steal this. Sorry for that vent, this really pissed me off. I noticed that you stopped posting new chapters on Reddit with Blessed Are The Fugitives. As bad as the site may be, you may want to consider reposting the current version of the story to HFY. It does fit the overall concept of what the sub is meant to be. and it would boost its readership at least. Hopefully yeet some of the aforementioned trash into the shadow realm of "your post has 5 upvotes."

Welcome here my good fellow, Brassicus Prima has clearly led you to the path of salvation away from r/HFY. Thank you so much for your support, both financial and verbal. I've heard similiar confusion from my other readers related to the various short stories, volumes etc. that I once had uploaded on RoyalRoad (and the current novel version still hasn't reached the explosive readership reached by the first rushed short story). I'm glad that you managed to find your way out of the confusion and reach the JBI (as in the John Brown Isekai, not the HSIMOTAW; you're the first person to call it that lol). Fret not over making more text walls, I love to read any sort of feedback whether it be good or bad, and feedback such as yours is what keeps me writing more! I hope you'll enjoy reading further into the JBI, and may Brassicus Prima bless you with a good harvest and an even better day!

Heyo. Sorry for the incoming text wall. I started reading the new novel-length version of HSIMOTAW a while back, when only 5 chapters were out. I loved it then, but promptly forgot about it (because I kinda mixed it up the old version and though the story was just rushed to completion... boy was I wrong) only to remember it existed after reading some *mighty awful* r/HFY fiction. I binged the publically released series in one sitting and was left craving more delectable abolitionist content. I love this so much, I can't put it into words. The story has a great flow, every scene is very nicely set and the subtle referential humor clicked nicely with me. General Tubman's introduction and its setup are really nice too, I did not expect it but the hints were there. Then I foolishly returned to reddit and got a facefull of literary diarrhea thrown at me through the screen. Yeah well, I though, time to subscribe to Cabbage's patreon and get me some some *good* slave isekai fiction. So here I am. I got high hopes for this story and the others in the works.

No worries dude, real life comes first. Great (part of a) chapter so far, looking forward to the rest of it!
