Sorry to have been moderately slow with the updates, lately. But I thought you'd like some news on what's going on with various things.
First, sales on Zero Dark are still good and, I hope, a reflection of the amount of time I'm putting into marketing them. "Good", by the way, means "not what you'd call an income, but enough to ensure that subsequent products can only get better". I'm not drawing a salary from Precinct Omega, yet, but I have paid back more than half of the loans I made to the company to get it off the ground.
Second, Operation Nemesis is still in active development but new information for you has slightly ground to a halt due to intensive play-testing on a concept I decided I wanted to include but which became far more time-consuming than I expected: fighting in tunnels.
I wanted to add a tunnel/corridor scenario to the operation and thought it would be relatively straightforward. It's not not straightforward. But what it means is that I'm basically adding a whole new way to play Zero Dark to the book, which requires a fair amount of writing and some tricky decision-making in terms of making sure that game still works.
Whether it will be usable in Versus mode as well as Solo/Team will depend a bit on how many new rules I want to include - it might end up getting a supplement all of its own. You guys, as ever, will get a preview of the contents before they're finalized to see if you want to take them for a spin.
I will also include some (very) basic map tiles just to make the map for the mission. But I wondered whether any of you had used any downloadable map tile kits from Wargame Vault or Drive-Thru RPG that you would recommend?
In other news, I am putting the finishing touches to a complete face-lift of the Precinct Omega website that will be live this weekend, along with a 10% discount of website stock to celebrate. As most of you will know, I stock a range of 6mm sci-fi from Strato Minis as a way of getting their products into the UK. But I would love to grow that range to include products from other manufacturers - especially stuff suitable for Zero Dark.
I have some companies in mind that I would like to approach, but if you have suggestions please let me know what they are. Companies should be outside the UK, have a resin, metal or plastic sci-fi miniatures range in the 15-32mm scale and ideally not have a game to promote for them.
Speaking of swans*, new podcast is incoming, in which I'll address the elephant in the wargaming room (no trigger warnings required for this one, I hope).
*Because the Polish for "elephant" is "sลon", pronounced "swan". Yes, I'm trying to learn Polish.

I'm having a lot of fun getting to grips with the language. They're are so many wargamers in Poland that I stream of being able to go there to run demos and attend events and communicate decently. Luckily, I'm making good business contacts in Poland, so I get to try out my awful accent occasionally!

The idea is that the rules should be applicable for any ~1" square tile system, including more open space systems like Core Space, as well as traditional tunnel tiles like Advanced HeroQuest or Space Hulk. The mission in Op Nemesis will have a pre-designed map, but I've tried to restrict myself to using tiles of some of the most common designs (1x5, 1x4, T-junction, corner, 3x3 room, 4x4 room etc).
