🕑 Added 2021-05-18 00:33:03 +0000 UTCMy friends, the next model will be a Syrian T-55 in 1/48 scale from Tamiya, because it felt like the best choice - a simple slammer build of a modern subject with loads of weathering possibilities. It's gonna have that rebar cage armor which I mentioned, and some other nice details as well 😊 I'm also gonna try a different approach to running gear. Instead of keeping the tracks and wheels separate, I glued them together as a removable sub-assembly. We'll see if it makes things easier!
Oh, and it's ridiculously small! Even that Crusader was probably longer!

Yes, and Tamiya makes this stuff so easy because they even put a small locating pin and a hole in the lower track and middle wheel, so you can line them up perfectly.

So on the tracks you assembled the whole length before wrapping onto wheels Martin? Then lined them up according to placement of long flat section, smaller single link sections etc? Just seeking to clarify 😀
