Another excuse for some fleet scale miniatures. Maybe get my hands on the old Babylon 5 Wars miniatures.

The FB page is a nice hideout for orphans of the great discussions we had at star-ranger.com forums. For a proper "benchmark" of the genre, I assume you have played/read the famous Full Thrust and Starmada, but I also suggest to check the less known and full spatial 3d systems like the incomprehensible Squadron Strike and the "indie" With Hostile Intent. The more recent Dropfleet Commander has a fantastic (if expensive) set of very customizable miniatures while improving the Battlefleet Gothic system. Stratoyager models are very nice, and their system is a breath of fresh air in the X-wing side of things. While I enjoyed my time playing GURPS, I'm very cautious of systems than can be scalable for anything. I think that 2-h wargames system (5150, Star Navy, Fighter Command) don't do it very well. Syndrome of the Duck, I guess. I'm very curious to your other though on the space mini genre. Cheers
