Nice work! Not too Photochoppy. Hey, I’ve been using PS professionally for 25 years and I still use the magic wand tool. Why wouldn’t you? 😜 Also try “Select> Subject” (which is actually lazier than magic wand) or “select> Color Range” (slightly more control than magic wand). Another fun one to play with for brightness and contrast is adding an Curves Adjustment Layer. You can then brighten or darken and value range by adding points to the line and adjust the curve (little goes a long way here.) You can also adjust values of individual channels (RGB or CMYK) to dial in your hue.
