Wouldn't it be interesting to see a tabletop company work with a digital company on a ten-year plan - something like Destiny. With a series of games and supplements that, rather than echoing the digital game, complement it - like how the Bioshock Infinite board game looked at a different side of life in the city.

Games companies licensing movie/TV IP does seem to be increasingly more common. I can see the short term benefits, but it can't be a long term thing eventually people's interest will move to something else. Even GW ran into problems after the LOTR films ran out. I've also noticed companies licensing video game IP. Eg. Modiphius licencing Fallout and Eldar Scrolls. This feels more sustainable as video game francises tend to push out new versions every few years as pc/console hardware improves, creating a regular rise in interest in the IP. Timing new table game editions to coincide with video game release would seem a sound strategy. However being tied to an IP that someone else controls is a risky proposition, I can understand why these licensees opt for the "make as much money as I can as quick as I can" approach
