The hack only section has always been around but only happens on certain preferences (the most common ones). Over time I have continuously reduced the HP of this section and have been increasing the number of damaging hacks to help with it. I still want to make another alternative to this section but have never gotten around to it.

If I knew I could retype the hacks into a new updated game and have them still record it would’ve saved me some time. Rip to all the hacks I’ve lost since starting to play lol. All I can say is the first time I played was when the first boss just came out and I was able to win the game once or twice but since the 2.0 update I believe the boss requires hacks to beat and I’ve never beat the game since mainly because I never collected hacks. I did go campsite several times to learn a few hacks which was nice but didn’t have many bugs to “Finish Her!”

One trick with hacks, is when you get a new version of the game and your hack list is empty, you can type in the hack even if you lack the resources to do it. It will show up in the hack list as one you have found. So let's say you have no worms and type in: help The hack will fail saying you lack worms, but it will appear in the list of hacks you have found. And well, nothing wrong with losing a bit in the game, right?

Good to know. I made them to be shared as long as someone isn't sharing their entire database at once (which might ruin the fun).

Don't get me wrong, I truly like how hacks work at present. When I find a new puzzling hack and then I wait for a particular encounter or scene to activate it and... nothing happens. For me that's amusing and keeps me interested in experimenting with them!

I'm always happy to answer questions on them! I try not to spell everything out exactly to still give things a sense of exploration and discovery and sometimes I go too far.

Is it a good part of the challenge? If it is not, then the way hacks are granted most of the time is: Defeating a boss.

Personally I don't know if focusing the discussion on "sharing" hacks can be that helpful. The only way I can see that happening is as someone dumps all the hacks and then (for me) spoils the fun of being rewarded new hacks or remembering the most useful one. What I would really enjoy is a discussion on "explaining" a particular hack. There are so many of them I don't have the slightest clue about what they can do. However, I'm not very active on social media, so, from my part, it is what it is.
