Back Story:
The power struggle between swords and science is getting out of hand at the dawn of the new era. The hungry rats below the sewers have formed a new government supported and governed by the rat thieves guild. This district was called Baseco District. To control the uprising of this new government, the imperial army sent its noble knights of small young mice, The Mini-mice. These young mice acted as a catalyst to impose law and order within the district. Little that these young mice know that the problem within the community was more extensive than they thought it would be. The district is now experimenting with their new technology using prisoners to make super soldiers like the Hagibis Brutes. But one of them has gotten worse. Babalu, the scientist who discovered the Exo-fluids. These fluids are extracted from baby mice thru torture and severe trauma. Exo-fluids could also make them bigger and 100 times more robust at the expense of their sanity.

I agree from a merchant point of view. It's hard for my customers to determine what they are actually getting and I have to take the extra step of running the model card through photoshop to put "this is a render only, not a photo, does not come painted" on every single one. My other patreons are like that as well.

Is it just me or does anyone else hate the trend more studios are jumping on of digitally coloring/painting their renders. I've always had a problem with Heroes Infinite about it and it seems more and more people are doing it. Don't get me wrong the work HI does is superb and that's the problem. They apply effects digitally that are (nearly) impossible to duplicate irl. Archvillian just started down this route as well as Lord of the Print (though less so). I am disappointed to see Clay Cyanide jumping on the band wagon. It's just my opinion but I feel the "painted" renders interfere with the ability to judge the sculpt and honestly often don't present the minis in the best light. For example the style used by this studio is very cartoony/cute and while it works great for the cute mice I was honestly turned off by it when evaluating the LotR minis last month and decided not to join in part because of it.
