Sorry only just seen your second reply! That's really exciting news I'm very happy for you Mandy. I wish you all the very best with your saving! I didn't move out of my mum's place until I was 36, although it wasn't to live alone. I relocated halfway across England to be with my soon to be ex. I guess after 14 years of being with someone it's taking a long time to adjust. I'm also miles from my family and I don't drive, so it's very isolating. I do have a kitten though! She's nearly 7 months old now and her name is Poppy. She has helped greatly, although she can also be a monster when she wants to be!

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply Mandy. I am definitely going to try and concentrate on me from now on. My soon to be ex is in touch with me every day though, so it's hard to move on completely. I am trying though. I think it's harder when you're naturally shy and self deprecating, but I'm determined to get there! I am so sorry to hear about what you went through too. Not sure why anybody would ever walk away from a beautiful soul like yours, but that really is their loss. I'm so glad you're happy now, you truly deserve to be. Oh, also thought I should add, I am currently saving up to live alone for the first time in my life soon and I am super EXCITED! I will finally be able to do anything I want. Music at any time, watch tv and movies I want to watch at any time. Make my own schedule and my own rules. Eat as I please. Don't have to answer to anyone or tolerate what others want in their home. No one is going to eat MY food. I understand it can be lonely, but I think it can be extremely liberating as well. Also, not sure if you have any, but pets can be wonderful companions.

Lee. I am terribly sorry for what you are currently going through. I know it must be very tough. My ex left me with no warning, one day to the next after 9 years together. Needless to say, I was devastated. It has now been a year and I am happier than ever before. It takes time to heal, but focus on yourself and the things that make YOU happy. Don't you dare give up Sir, nobody, and I mean NOBODY is worth that. Be patient with yourself and you will see, time heals all. I am rooting for you Lee!

Hi Mandy! I'm a long time viewer on YouTube and recently joined your Stars for more of your lovely content! I'm usually quite a shy and quiet person but I had to comment about feeling lonely. My wife, who I've been with for 14 years and still love very much left me last year. She's now filed for divorce and it becomes official on March 6th. I've been living alone for the first time in my life and I feel desperately lonely and heartbroken. It's why I'm here really as I started watching reaction videos and Twitch, things like that for company and to stave off the depression at night. I wanted you to know that your videos have saved my life on so many occasions. Loneliness is very real, and can be soul destroying. I thank you so much for helping me through some dark times and wish you all the best. I'm sorry to hear that you're also lonely. I agree with you that it's crazy that so many people feel this way in this crazy, crowded old world of ours. SO MUCH AWKWARDNESS! So great! It's interesting you mentioned Maggie's chameleonic versatility and always looking convincing. Ashley Jenson? (Maggie) is in Ricky's latest show, Afterlife, and I could barely recognise her in that. It's kinda sad to hear you get lonely 😔. Just a bit surprising to hear I guess. So thankyou for being honest about it with us, but I do understand, life can be funny. I used to have loads of friends, but stuff happens over the years. People drift apart, and then one day, you find yourself alone 🤷‍♂️. Of the last 4 good friends I've had, 1 moved interstate, i still keep in touch with her, but the other 3 passed away, that was a pretty tough few years. 1 drug overdose, 1 heart attack, and 1 self- inflicted. For some of us it's not too big a deal though (the aloneness, not the death). I'm a severe introvert and struggle to deal with more than a couple of people at a time anyway. But for those who need people around, it's pretty hard going. But the world is so different today compared to any other time in history, and we're all learning how to navigate through so much new, weird stuff. One thing I can say I enjoy, and am thankful for, is you, and our little bits of banter, helps brighten my day. I'm curious, are there any choirs in your area? That's a good opportunity to meet some new people and have a bit of a sing! Sounds like fun-on-a-bun!

Mandy, regarding what you said at the start about wishing you didn't know Sam Jackson was in this episode: you will know almost certainly know ALL the celebs featured in the titles of the remaining episodes of season 1 and 2, so I would recommend avoiding the titles if you want the cameos to be a surprise.

Regarding Samuel L Jackson not being in the episode much, they only had one day where they could get him on set. They was saying how lucky they got him in the first place, so just took what they could get. I think at the time he was promoting Star Wars episode 3 in the UK, so had work around his promotional schedule to do the scenes.

It's funny with the Golly toy she had. Those things were essentially a much loved child's character from off of Robertson's Jam and Marmalade. It was pretty much their mascot for about 80 years till round the late 90s. You could collect tokens on the jars and send them off for free golliwog related stuff. They had tons of merchandise with it on. Plush toys, figurines and spoons etc. If you look up something like golly jam or golliwog jam you'll see all sorts

Great episode. Ricky is the king of cringe. Jeez. Maggie acts it out so, so well too. Look at 33:14 in and see how cute it is when Maggie cutely grabs Ricky's (Andy's) finger to bring it down. Subtle. 'Dullard' is a word used to describe a dull person, so it was the 'take me out for a meal' guy. I also love it when you make it look as if we're really watching it with you in the same room sometimes. Your look to camera at 23:42 is kinda what I mean. :) Ep6 is one of my personal faves so I wait with bated breath for that one!

Interesting story; my parents were nearly extras in the 1975 movie "The Return of the Pink Panther". My dad was a set builder on that movie (as a carpenter rather than an artist). My mum had been given permission to visit him on set and watch a little of the filming. In one scene, the director decided the background wasn't busy enough, so roped a few of those watching into being extra extras. They were hurriedly given suitable clothes to wear and the scene was shot. It didn't make the final cut however. Ok, "interesting" was a stretch. But it is at least a pertinent story. I'm sure it's not the usual way people become extras though. 😅

If I remember correctly, Samuel had a very busy schedule, and only had half a day to pop in and shoot a couple of short scenes, so Ricky wrote the episode to accommodate this. It's a shame he wasn't in it more, but it's still a great episode, especially if you like the cringe. 😅
