Hi, new commenter here. Just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed your series 7 reactions. Series 8 does get a bit of a bad rap sometimes but honestly having rewatched it recently I think it has some of the strongest tasks and at least one big lol moment per episode, definitely more than say series 6! Yeah stationery is pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, paper, scissors even. Paper can also be termed as stationary in and of itself though. Well, do you want to know how engaging you are? I didn't even notice my name at the top of the screen until the end credits were rolling! It won't be there long unfortunately but I'll get it back there as soon as I can. As for the episode, it was epic. Every task from the egg to GTA and sausage fingers. Kerry didn't win a single task, right? But well done Mandy for guessing the season winner, I was happy for you! Rhod's tying up of Alex was just genius!! Games Acaster (haha) with GTA was brilliant - all the games were great btw. How on Earth some of those were done in 1 hour, I don't know. I was surprised James was only 4th, I thought he did better. Some good laughs in that one and thank you for making me smile and laugh today. I needed it. You continue to be therapy. Looking forward to Season 8 !! Oh and Greg called you a 'doting TV viewer' :)

It's well documented that Julian Clary is a renowned homosexual, although I do wonder if someone like Alan Carr would be considered more renowned nowadays, even so, I can't wait to see this in a few weeks time on Channel 4. Of course, Mandy will wait about a year until she sees what is likely to be an example of first class homoeroticism on Google Drive. I can't wait for that either.

Did it win the poll? No one knows. There was an incident or series of incidents that meant the poll was abandoned on political, religious and moral grounds. Maybe she can start a new poll with better, non-controversial options like The Reckoning, Minipops or Big Brother's Big Mouth for example.

I hope it's not considered a spoiler but Series 8 features the first openly homosexual contestant in Taskmaster history. Although if you are expecting any man on man action, I think Horne and Gilbert from Series 7 is as close as it gets in any series, so far.

Mandy (Cane Lane, 30) already watched New Year Treat III (2023) so unless we all pretend that the chairs became green from series 8 onwards and then went back to red by New Year Treat III (2023) and she somehow doesn't see this comment then she can be pretty sure that the chairs remain red.

Itβs been so enjoyable rewatching this series with you! There have been 9 and a half series of Taskmaster since this one and I think this series is still my fav (I say I think because my memoryβs not great either lol). I thought series 8 was really good as well so looking forward to seeing what you think about that. Episode 1 of series 8 has one of my favourite TM tasks in it!

this is such a good season. i was gutted when i finished it the first time lol. season eight is the weakest season overall, but there's one contestant i absolutely adore so i'm excited to rewatch when you start it!

Oh I'm fairly sure the reason Phil's VG task was muted was so they could upload it without copyright issues. I guess they used sound effects and/or music that is proprietary (James Bond stuff is like that). I'm gonna speculate that this might also be the reason your Google Drive versions of this were blocked, if they tried to show that part uncensored. Just not sure why they'd do it differently for Phil and then do stock effects and music for the rest.

wooo!! Season 8 is good, but it has unfortunately been a bit forgotten between the two STELLAR seasons that were 7 and 9. Season 9 is a very close second favourite of mine, of course, after 7 <33 Excited to continue this journey!

I remember being absolutely gutted Jessica didn't win the series. She had become my series 1-7 crush and she was the first person to go into the finale in the lead and not hold onto it. 1 point in it :( at least she is in Taskmaster folklore as you will see next time.
