The only one you haven't seen is the 2022 New Year Treat
Mark H
The chairs have changed multiple times. Here's a Pic of Chairs series 1-9 https://www.reddit.com/r/taskmaster/comments/d0lr9u/taskmaster_chair_seasons_19/
Lee Dellbridge
I had no idea on Koji or Lenny but yeah I feel this was fixed. No way you let a kid lose especially a disabled one.
Carl-Fredrik L
Gene Simmons is the bassplayer from Kiss π€
Mandy Cane Lane
π€
Stevus
Agreedπ for the most part anyway. Self professed 'Alpha' male types, like... can't remember the name, but the two toxic brothers who were jailed in Romania? I think, for human trafficking etc. They break that mould. And have a very misogynistic view of women. They're definitely not worshipping any femine image of perfection (paraphrasing). But yeah, I largely agree with you Gary. It's really nice that there are some really good guys here. π
Jonathan Davies
Maybe..π although I think they literally just ran out of D-list celebrities with the UK version π
Jonathan Davies
Sorry grandma Iβm just welcoming you to the 30+ club π€£π€£
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
Hey Josh! I'm paraphrasing here: Men use the image of female perfection to motivate themselves. Women donβt really understand this about men: as long as theyβre not corrupted or bitter because of rejection, theyβre doing everything they can to βkneel before the eternal image of the feminineβ, and try to make themselves worthy. Thatβs the chivalry story, and thatβs worthy of encouragement. But if you donβt see the woman youβre attracted to as an individual, and instead you see this judgemental perfect woman, then I have some bad newsβ¦ You can never have a relationship with a perfect woman, in order to have a relationship with any woman, you have to sacrifice your relationship with the βidealβ woman, and you have to see the individual woman for who she is, and separate her from your idea of βperfectionβ. After all, nobody's perfect, eh? π€·ββοΈ
Stevus
I reckon Lenny could use those eyebrows as handlebars on a custom chopper or something.
Joshyboiiiiii
'I've never seen coloured bubble wrap before... I didn't know they done that COOL!' ππ
Joshyboiiiiii
Awww doesn't she say she didn't know they made red bubble wrap or she's never seen it before, I vaguely remember that
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
Haha yeah, well looking back, it's just a fleeting moment: TM S08 E06 12:11 into the episode, I commented about it at the time, I was quite amused to say the least, a classic distracted moment of excitement π
Joshyboiiiiii
Red coloured bubble wrap? Is this on YouTube too?? I must see this π she's still a perfect woman in my eyes, I love her so much π₯°π₯° the shit she's got me through, I'd be so much worse off if it wasn't for her
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
I know she might have called herself crazy or talk about her Mandy rants or shout βOoh!β At red colored bubble wrap π€£ Theyβre just ways to smooth over her foibles, her eccentricities (apart from the bubble wrap incident!). Iβm personally not a fan of these, they reenforce a negative self image. βInsanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different resultsβ π€£
Joshyboiiiiii
I've heard of ADHD but never really looked into it at all so I do apologize, well I think it makes her even cuter than she already is and tomorrow I'll look into it
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
Far from it. First, thereβs no such thing as βnormalβ and secondly having ADHD isnβt a mental illness. Sheβs at worst βneurodivergentβ in that ADHD changes the way you think and process information, and speaking as someone whoβs lived/lives with people with ADHD, she handles it really well.
Joshyboiiiiii
You telling me she isn't bonkers π€¨
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
That's not who she is at all Josh π€¦ββοΈ
Joshyboiiiiii
So I need to become a 30 year old American woman who lives in Argentina whose fucking bonkers? I can do that easy, cheers gazza β€οΈβ€οΈ
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
Become the person you want to find. People like others who are like themselves, *or* who are like who they want to be.
Joshyboiiiiii
Oh yeah like that'll put me off π she's way too good for me anyway π
Stevus
Lol
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
Mandy already knows she's pretty tho Josh, you wouldn't want someone who constantly needs validation! π
Mandy Cane Lane
Lmao! I remember it being mega popular and then just disappearing as well. Maybe there was some big accident or something?
Mandy Cane Lane
Also Karl wouldn't like me, I am too happy π€£
Mandy Cane Lane
HAHAHAHHA! Congratulations Jonathan! You made me feel old π€£π€£π€£
Mandy Cane Lane
OMG! Poor woman. π That is horrifying
Joshyboiiiiii
I'd pay 100 squid for Mandy to say I'm funny π look at how focus and pretty she looks in that thumbnail π₯°π
Mandy Cane Lane
I am a big fan of charades Paul π€ͺ
π¦πΊππ π¬ππππΊπ
Lol Mandy, I'd also chime in: share the same values, and don't forget a GSOH! (That's code for "she think's I'm funny") π
Joshyboiiiiii
I go for someone I can trust, someone who I can have a laugh with and a good personality
Mandy Cane Lane
OMG yes!! π€£π€£
Mandy Cane Lane
Hahaha, exactly! Especially when they edit every line of the task being read by a different person. How am I supposed to keep track of all that? π
Mandy Cane Lane
OHHHHHHH!! Ok yeah, that rings a bell, thank you Robert! ππ»π€
ππππππ πΊππππ
Yes ...https://www.theguardian.com/media/2007/jan/20/radio.usnews
Mandy Cane Lane
Ahh yes, the name of the show was simple enough! π€ͺ
Joshyboiiiiii
Well yeah I'm single, I thought you'd know considering I've been flirting with you for the last 2 months ππ
Mandy Cane Lane
Glad you forgive me π
Mandy Cane Lane
OMG!!! Am I to assume you are all single? π€£π€£ I look for honesty and just a good human being.
Mandy Cane Lane
LMAO!
Mandy Cane Lane
OMG!! π€£π€£π€£π€£ Also, no, I hadn't noticed Mr 44. π¬ Will keep that in mind though!! ππ»
Mandy Cane Lane
Indian food is also limited and not popular at all here.
Mandy Cane Lane
NOOOO!! Don't eat me! I DO NOT CONSENT! I repeat, I do not consent!!! Also in Argy we do get Chinese cuisine, but it is very limited. I make chow mein all the time, and no one can beat my potato salad π π» Lol π€ͺ
Mandy Cane Lane
Lenny was awesome! I too noticed his face of disgust more than once! Hahhah.
Mandy Cane Lane
π¨ The PEEL? Oh god, that must be so sour! π
ππππππ πΊππππ
Poppadoms are Indian cuisine Mandy lol.
Mandy Cane Lane
Lmao to all of this! Thank you Hypnobob for the heads up!
ππππππ πΊππππ
Is that your way of asking for popcorn?
Mandy Cane Lane
I am confused lol. I thought they came with your order just like fortune cookies (which also don't exist here). Have I been misinformed? π§
Mandy Cane Lane
Lmao! You just reminded me Steve, the other day I saw a post of someone that sent a package overseas using popcorn instead of packing peanuts. It worked a treat π€ͺ
Mandy Cane Lane
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA
Mandy Cane Lane
Not at all π€£
Stevus
I'm sorry Steve, is that wii thing true?
Stevus
Sooo... do you want to cook with her, or cook 'with' her?
Jonathan Davies
Tbf I donβt think Karl gets on well with anything that isnβt an insect or someone from the book of freaks! π
Jonathan Davies
Oh shit yer it was celebrities for the UK one wasnβt it. I guess thatβs why it only lasted 2-3 seasons..they mustβve ran out off celebs who were prepared to loose their dignity like that π€£
Jeffrey44
Hole in the Wall (or Hole in the Wall as an American would also say). The UK one was celebrities only though, I think the American version had Americans on it instead of celebrities.
paul
Haha, I feel like Mandy and Karl would get on so well together.
Jonathan Davies
Mandy doing her Karl impression looking at those new chairsβ¦βBULLSHIT!β π
paul
Her thirties are turning her into Karl Pilkington. π
ππππππ πΊππππ
Cheap as chimps was my favourite π
Jonathan Davies
That show with the moving wall was literally called βHole in the wallβ over in the UK and it was massively popular for like 2 years then it just died a death and was never seen again ππ
Jonathan Davies
I love how Mandy turned into Middle age Mandy at the start of the episode! β I DONβT LIKE THE CHAIR!! I DONβT LIKE THE TROPHY!!! I WHO ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE!!!! I DONβT LIKE CHANGE!!!!β πππ
paul
Haha, sounds like one of Karl's pun based radio features. The Rice Is Right. π
Benjamin Taylor-Yates
Couldn't have said it better π
paul
As the actress said to the bishop. π
paul
"Text?" π
paul
He reminded me of Rob Beckett. Think they need to send Lenny on a round the world trip with Karl now...
paul
Legend. π
ππππππ πΊππππ
In 2007 a woman competed in a radio stationβs contest to see how much water she could drink without going to the bathroom. It was called Hold Your Wee for a Wii. She died π
paul
You said that the final task where they had to push a shape through a hole in the wall reminded you of a game show that originated in Japan. The classic "weird Japanese game show" that we heard about in the UK in the 90s via some Chris Tarrant show was, I think, called Endurance and involved going for as long as possible without peeing. Classy stuff. Perhaps thinking about poppadoms was a popular strategy. The mind boggles... π
paul
Haha, love how you touched your nose and pointed at the camera when the guy said the episode title "Huh" π€£
paul
At one point Zoe called Greg a WANKFLAP, which sounds like a countdown teaser if ever I heard one...
paul
Finally getting round to watching this now. I feel reassured that you also struggle to pay attention when they read out the tasks Mandy. Anything more complex than "smash a watermelon to bits" or "throw a teabag in a mug" and my mind just wanders off on its own little flight of fancy and when it comes back I'm just watching them doing weird things thinking, "what's happening?" π
Stevus
Yeah I know, sorry, just my sense of humour. If you genuinely don't know what a gloryhole is, I'd suggest probably googling it, but it involves fellatio. Maybe not kosher for here. If your familiar with Plebs, there's an episode of that which involves it. Old men behind a wall with holes at about waist height. I'm aware of the show, it's just the first thing that came to mind when I read Hole in the wall.π
Robert Allen
Steve Backshall was on WILTY when Bob was telling the story about the owl, and kept calling him out on his BS because he's a naturalist and therefore knows a thing or two about birds
AWR93
Whatβs a gloryhole? Hole in the wall is the game show Mandy was talking about
Stevus
What do gloryholes have to do with anything?
AWR93
Hole in the wall!!
Mandy Cane Lane
Haha, the old chair was better, hands down!
ππππππ πΊππππ
I can't believe I missed that opportunity.
Josh Read
I noticed that comment too. I normally call it oh fuck not again, yes dear of course I will get you some chocolate and run you a bath.
Josh Read
I really want to cook with Mandy, I'll show her how to really cook and teach her some things. I guarantee my potato salad will far superior π
Jeffrey44
The letter that people removed in the first task was zed, not zee. I forgive you.
Jeffrey44
Petrol station (or gas station as an American would say)
ππππππ πΊππππ
A good grounding system.
Hypnobob
The lady that... sorry it's gone.
Joshyboiiiiii
Random question of the day. What do you look for in a partner?
paul
It was a new one for me as well.
paul
It came up in the comments for the Aunt Irma episode of the IT Crowd. π
ππππππ πΊππππ
It is indeed. He says it in the petrol station after meeting Tex (Peter Serafinowicz). Keep up the good work.
Jeffrey44
Stevie, Is that the episode where Lynn spills Sunny Delight (or Sunny D as an American would say) on to the James Bond videos? I've seen that episode but don't recall the quote you referenced. That episode does have an American in it though. My only inspiration is Americans saying things. While Americans keep doing English wrong, I will continue helping them and us to successfully communicate.
Benjamin Taylor-Yates
18 minutes in. "I haven't swallowed yet..." --- "ARRH HEHEHE!!!" ππ Bad Mandy! βοΈ Haha. Killed me.
Stevus
And HNY to you! 44 π«‘
ππππππ πΊππππ
I was watching Alan Partridge and he said "You managed to put 2 + 2 together and come up with five, or as an American would say five". Is that where you got it from?
ππππππ πΊππππ
Mandy says she's a good cook. She should make chicken or beef chow mein. I make it all the time, and I'm a rubbish cook. Now that's a good idea for a video π
Jeffrey44
Did you notice that there were no ad breaks (or commercial breaks as an American would say) and therefore no break bumpers with Little Alex Horne larking about? That's because you watched it on the official YouTube channel. Never do that again. I hope you continue to watch the broadcast version in future. So much is missing from the YouTube versions. You also miss the antics when they throw to the break and come back from the break. Some reaction channels have only used the YouTube version and don't even know what they are missing. Can they really claim to have reacted to Taskmaster at all? Saying that, the break bumpers were nothing special in this episode. I can't even remember what form they took and I only watched the broadcast version of this episode for the first time 4 days ago. Happy New Year everyone.
Stevus
So you don't get Chinese in Argentina? But do you have Indian? Also, it's weird you can't get ground pork, cause that's literally what chorizo is made from. You could probably get away with substituting that into Chinese dishes. The Chinese ingredients would most likely overpower the paprika. Maybe worth trying.
Stevus
Critiquing the chair! Confidently expressing your artistic opinion. Very nice π I feel quite proud π₯Ή good on ya!
Stevus
WTF Paul! π€£ I love it, but I've never heard that before.
MH
Lenny Rush really is brilliant. Not only is he one of the most natural child actors i have ever seen, he also is very funny on his own. Something that is very rare for a 14 year old. I especially loved his look of disgust towards Deborah, when she tried to explain the toaster situation by saying that she doesn't understand toasters because she has an Aga (bougie range cooker that costs 10-30 000 pounds/dollars). Interestingly Lenny has the same extremely rare genetic disorder as Warwick Davis has, which is called Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita.
paul
Shark Tank not to be confused with Shark Week which we learnt recently is Australian for Aunt Flo visiting.
Jeffrey44
Who?
mcegan
There's an outtake in which they test Steve's ability to eat an orange in 45 seconds while in the studio and he succeeds! It's gross, he eats the peel, but he succeeds lol
Hypnobob
Indeed. So Miranda's real name is Mandy right?
Jeffrey44
The television programme Dragon's Den (or the TV show Shark Tank as an American would say)
Hypnobob
Zoe Ball is a radio DJ, who was married to Fatboy Slim for a while (you reacted to his Weapon of Choice video featuring Christopher Walken if memory serves). Deborah Meaden is a rich business person who was on Dragon's Den (which should mean something to you very soon).
ππππππ πΊππππ
I just got that your comment is about poppadoms at a Chinese restaurant lol.
ππππππ πΊππππ
Yes, they are not free. They are complimentary at some restaurants.
SaRa
Mandy the next time you go to a Chinese restaurant asking for a free poppadom, please record it, cause I would watch that reaction video.
ππππππ πΊππππ
Mandy, "I don't have eagle eyes" Also Mandy, "That chair is 2cm taller" Haha. Why does that jellyfish have so much power? Get rid of um. I would explain who these people are, but I don't want to. Great reaction, as always. Thank you Squeaks. POPCORN!π€
ππππππ πΊππππ
Mandihistamine is back π
Jeffrey44
Lenny Rush is no older than half your age and no taller than half your height. Doesn't that make you feel like a very old giant?
