That's a whopping great urban myth, so it is! I wonder who made it up? The instructor in Argentina, or whoever told them? Sounds almost transparently false, a gullibility test? its caused by the HA decoding , it still happens on a NVME drives , it isn't worth having that turned off though tbh , vlc has some major flaws but i still like it and got used to it , there are far better players out there , MPC-HC is open source and a good one.

To make the pixel problem better when you pause and resume in VLC make sure you have the files stored on an SSD not a HDD. VLC has had this problem for years unfortunately and there is now way to fix it completely that I know of.

Hi Josh! Ok, if you’re routinely feeling low, here’s a couple of things you could do: Give up alcohol. Yep, alcohol is a well known depressant, so you’ll want to clear its depressive effects out of your system, and it can take three to four weeks for alcohol-induced depressive disorder (AUD) to clear. So give up alcohol, or at least go on a detox for a month, preferably longer, so you get to feel the difference! Alcohol drains you, it empties you inside, which doesn’t have to be a problem if your life’s otherwise full, and you moderate, but if you’re going through rough times, its just hitting you while you’re down! Regular exercise! As well as being good for your health, exercise releases endorphins, which are the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. It’s proven to ward off feelings of anxiety and depression. I challenge you to run for an hour every day, preferably 1st thing in the morning. Anybody can sustain high end aerobic exercise for hours. Run so you’re breaking a sweat, but not too fast that you couldn’t hold a conversation at the same time. It’s not a race, if you reach a point where you can only walk, then walk. It’s all about sticking to the high-end aerobic heart rate. And if you can actually measure your heart rate, better still! Keep it close to, but do not exceed “180 - your age” bpm. Anyone can sustain this for an hour, easy. Go on, give it a try! I'm Australian and I've never heard of that haha, I live in a ruralish area and we still have signs and everything, but it may be possible it happens in the outback/desert where it's just dirt roads and very little signs, and very few people too. People have to communicate well and help each other in those areas.

No we do NOT do that at intersections. We favour the roundabout here. We have traffic lights here on all the main, busy intersections, but everywhere else is roundabouts. (There is a British stop motion kids show called Magic Roundabout that Jasper Carrott does a great parody of.) The roundabout is by far the most efficient system to use. Look at me sounding all German. It's simply 'give way to the right' (we drive on the left here. But try to tell a conservative that?🤷‍♂️🤪) and it's pretty fool proof system. I believe they use them in the UK too. Right fellas? Also, could you imagine Miss Mandy... dear, sweet, ever so slightly niave about this one very specific little thing that is perfectly reasonable and understandable 😁 Mandy, could you imagine the logistics of everyone having to essentially play Rock Paper Scissors every time they wanted to cross an intersection? That would shut down all industry in Australia. No one would get to work on time. But it also just wouldn't work due to the sheer size of some of them. You can't even really see someone on the other side. Actually, I will try filming a few of the bigger ones here in Adelaide, at peak hour and email you. You'll see. Sorry if some of that seemed a bit rude, obviously wasn't intended to be. In all seriousness, that's a tough one JB, but I could strongly recommend meditation 🧘‍♂️, that has worked well for me. But ultimately, most things you do will only be temporary solutions. To properly deal with severe depression or anxiety etc, you have to deal with the root problem, and realistically, the only way to do that is basically tackle it head on. Therapy is something EVERYONE should try whether you think you need it or not, and it shouldn't be stigmatised in the way that it is. Have you been diagnosed with anything by a doc or psych? (You don't have to share that here if you don't want to). But meds can be helpful for some. Toodles! 👋
