I think it would always be better to start with the first series, because then you can really see the origin of the show and how in blossomed from there. It is actually a pretty funny series, but just pales in comparison to everything that came after. Hell, series 3 was a step down from series 2 as it was such a hard act to follow, but that just made series 4 even better.

You have to be joking lol! Do you watch Bottom at all ? You literally described about 3 and a half episodes out of 18 you silly goose! Also, how high are you? You're a bit late to the conversation. I actually question whether she would enjoy it. I have literally expressed doubt about whether she would appreciate the vulgarity, but I don't know, and you, Mr TheHigh, shouldn't make assumptions either. Nobody knows until or if she watches it, then she can decide for herself. And if Bottom is one of your favourite shows, you should pay more attention to the plot lines beyond the first episode. There's some funny stuff there! I would recommend up, s' out, gas, apocalypse, culture, terror, hole, dough, break, finger etc etc. None of which involve them trying to get sex in the most ridiculous ways. And lastly, I have seen Miss Mandys reactions. Aren't they great! I do very much enjoy them actually. That's why I'm here on Patreon! Completely agree that the season 4 ending was perfect and this probably wasn’t really necessary.. couple of funny moments (especially Moss getting changed in the phone box) but yer nobody ever talks about this episode really..🫤

I actually don't mind the first season which I know is a bit controversial. I'm not saying I love it, it's definitely not my favourite season, but I still think it's okay. Furthermore, I would suggest that if one were to watch the 1st season, then it's better to do it without having to compare it to the later, better seasons, and just experience it for what it is. You could also ask that age old question, if you're given a plate of food, do you eat your favourite thing on the plate first, or save it till last? And there you... MAY have your answer.

Its a shame Moss didn't know about the secret power of ladies slacks when he invented the living bra and went on Dragons Den. If it wasn't for the bra spontaneously combusting, he would have NAILED that! A thought did come to mind regarding your next choice of show, or just generally. There are shows which don't have alot, or any, continuity between seasons, or even episodes. There are many I think, but an example that comes to mind is Blackadder. You can just watch a 6 episode season, watch something different, then go back for another season later. There are others, like Bottom or The Young Ones which are similar to Mr Bean or WILTY or QI I suppose, where you can just watch an episode here and there and it won't really matter. Just a thought. My apologies if you've already thought of all that, and if you have, then well done!👍

Aww. Sad reality bomb the fact you had to carry pepper spray, and that was the norm. It's illegal in the UK, as are most personal defense weapons. You're allowed "reasonable force" which is pushing, shouting, kicking and if necessary one punch. Tho that last ones probably a myth. Just hide in your handbag Mandy! It's only 6 short episodes, it's truly a hidden gem of British comedy, and has some faces that will be very familiar to you. You'll squeal with delight I'm sure. ☺️
