Hiya Mandy, Welcome to Series 10! I personally think covid gave this series an extra touch of desperation and manic hysteria - especially without an audience. You should see the outtakes, they do crack each other up and go off on weird tangents 😆 You love those green lava lamps? I really want one of those vintage green lamps you see lawyers have on their desks on tv shows etc, I know I’ll have “arrived” with one of those on my desk 🤣 I’ve low key wanted one for years - I know once I snap one up though, I’ll be completely over it in days, hours, even minutes - wtf’s this unwieldy lamp doing on my desk, make room for my laptop! It’s purely an aesthetic desire, not sure it’s practical, or fit for purpose! Much like a lava lamp eh? 🤣 The moment you recognised Katherine Parkinson in the opening credits, haha! Awesome 😊 Never had braces, although I’m sure I could benefit from them. My childhood NHS dentist at the time probably judged on balance it wasn’t a cost effective option considering their limited budget and the severity of my problem. I’m obliviously un-self conscious but if I had a bottomless pot of cash I’d consider braces to line them up nicely and fix the overlapping, and also do something about the chips in my two front teeth!!! 😬. My gnashers are stereotypically British. I did wear a brace on my foot for the first 5 years of life tho, so plenty of experience with the pain and discomfort there 🙂 Honestly, you have a flawless set of teeth now, I’m so jealous. Whatever pain and suffering you went thought, I’m here to tell you it was totally worth it 👌 Alex always separates by age? We’ve already seen he’ll pick any nonsense criteria that groups the people he wants to show next! They’re grouping replays by task performance - similar approaches are replayed together. Usually there’s a middle of the road replay to set the bar, the final replays are either hilariously good or hilariously bad! They work with the footage they’ve got and present the most dramatic narrative 🤓 Dunno if anyone’s said - Daisy would have done the tasks months before filming, so either early stages of pregnancy or not preggo at all! Yeah Katherine Parkinson’s a peach! Regarding removing the sofa (or a couch as one particular Argentinian American would say) from the room - Forget the hallway, behind the cameras are a pair of French patio doors, they both open up so plenty wide enough to cart a sofa … Pivot! Pivot! Yeah such an elegant sketch of a front-facing plane, very economical with the circles and straight lines. You’ll probably know by know, Johnny’s quite the artist. So stressed about the cow and a possible swiss cheese memory failure?! 🤣 Can we appreciate the fantastic piece of misdirection by Mawaan 👏 Great spot on the Taskmaster House Gargoyles!!! I’ve been looking at google images of the house, they were indeed an addition to Series 10 - You do have a keen eye for detail 👍 So trust yourself, you’ve NOT seen the bloody cow before 🤣 Alex: “We have not hidden the frying pan” - yeah but you’ll be cryptic af instead of giving a straight answer 😆 Why was Katherine crying so hard after her egg in the frying pan replay? They edited out a ton of outtake footage where they’re all rolling around laughing - them tears is all we were given 🥲 Just wait for the outtakes! Katherine: “I can’t look at you, sorry 🤣” lmao! Alex, Re Daisy’s egg attempt: “It was such a nice moment, would you like to see it again” Mandy! *alarm bells* should be screaming at you when Alex asks if we’d like to see it again 😆 Time after time, it’s only so we can see extra disqualification footage! Despite the Covid restrictions and general weirdness of adjusting to a new massive channel with wide reach and proper expectations, I have a lot of affection for this series. It was the first one I watched. Nostalgia aside, this is a genuinely terrific lineup, each of them is absolutely insane in different ways, which does a lot to negate the lack of audience because they were all in hysterics half the time.

Great to see Katherine Parkinson in this one. I hope she does well enough to win. Apart from Johnny Vegas, I dunno who the others are except I've heard of Daisy but no idea what she does. Apperently after this episode, Katherine went home to make herself a bacon sandwich. Took her 2hrs! Couldn't find the frying pan. Well hopefully we get a good season again. Looking fwd to the journey.

Pretty much all of the contestants for series 10,11 and 12 have been on the Taskmaster podcast and they all said they found it really awkward and difficult doing the live stage stuff..having no audience to laugh made it a bit of a wierd atmosphere….F*%K YOU COVID! 🖕

This is a ... weird season. It has good moments, but it's the weakest season for me. Didn't really enjoy Daisy and Richard was hyped up so much to me and really didn't deliver on that hype. I really enjoyed Mawaan and Johnny though, and Katherine is one of my all time favourite contestants. She's just super lovely. It didn't help not having a live audience as well.

love this season! i think it’s a hit or miss for some people - but the lack of audience members makes the cast turn into a bunch of giggling children and it makes me so happy. Get ready for a lot of silly moments ❤️

I enjoyed this, it's gonna be a fun season. I really didn't mind there being no audience. Also, Johnny Vegas is a GOD!. I checked the the spelling of haemorrhoid, you can spell it both ways (haemorrhoid or Hemorrhoid) It is spelt haemorrhoid on the NHS website, I now know things I wish I didn't 🤣. The audience are in a cinema in socially distanced groups and they've synced up their recorded laughing with the show footage, so it is still genuine audience laughter although it does sound a bit weird with it being recorded and there being fewer people with the distancing. But at least it wasn't canned laughter and was actual people laughing at the funny things.

Hi Mandy! I'm watching right now. A little thing; when Daisy says "All bar one", and Alex says "Bar two", "bar" means "with the exception of". For example if I said I "I have all bar one of them", it means I have them all except one. At the start of one of the parts, where Greg is shouting "Come by! Away! Steady! Come by! Good boy!", he's doing an impression of a shepherd controlling a sheep dog. There used to be sheepdog trials (probably still are I imagine), a competition to find the best shepherd/sheepdog duo. Believe it or not, it was televised, but called "One Man and his Dog". It was actually quite a popular show in the days before the internet and only 4 TV channels. Yes, I'm old enough to remember that. Greg is appealing to the nostalgia of Brits of a certain age with that one. And yes, the cow was only put there at the start of season 10. Ollie was there before. Don't forget, the contestants aren't doing these tasks in the order you see them. They might have been seeing this cow for weeks by the time they did the vanishing task. Please try to not get upset about it. 😅

Richard Herring did say about this series that they all felt a little hysterical during the studio sections, since this was right after a covid lockdown and it was the first time most of them had been out anywhere for a while.

I have struggled to watch much of series 10, 11 or 12. The Covid filming issues made them feel a bit flat to me. Looking forward to watching along though to see what I've missed
