Hiya Mandy, Andrew Sachs (Manuel) might be German born, but moved to the UK at age 8 to escape the Nazis so he’s essentially British as far as we’re concerned 🙂 lol, like the kind of sweet old ladies who would clean up your messy face with some spit and a hankie 😆 Has the cheek-pinching stopped yet Mandy? 🤭 Manuel accidentally opened a funky looking phone book at the reception desk, it has a big a-z dial on the front like a telephone dial, and you can use to open it at the page with surnames starting from your chosen letter. That’s why it just popped open. Ha! You pronounced the G in Gnome like we’re meant to pronounce the G in Gnocchi, approved 👍 John Cleese’s slapstick moments with Andrew Sachs were sometimes all too real, no permanent harm done tho 🙂 Love the eerie “dance of the sugar-plum fairy” music Basil plays on the cassette before Mrs Fawlty arrives to see O’Reilly’s work. Basil’s gleeful whistle sounds very similar to the Looney Tunes sound track to me too 😆 You’re moving already? 😮 Uhh do I really have to watch all your reactions now just to keep up with the latest Mandy gossip? 😝 Wouldn’t it be lovely if there were a recap I could watch, or maybe even read?!
