No, but there would be if I could afford it! I’d have a slightly longer bed and all of my kitchen cupboards with saucepans/food etc. would be on the walls so I didn’t have to bend down to look in them! 😝 (i’ve got bad knees) The only thing that keeps me sane is a spider-catcher (due to the aforementioned spider fear) which is a little box on the end of a stick so you can cover the spider and then close a door over it to trap them! lol

I swear Mandy's brothers are like Milton Jones' grandfathers 🤣🤣 (watch a Milton Jones' clip if you don't get the reference) This image got me thinking and a thought train commenced but eventually - I think life joined at the arm or the hip with Mandy would be delightful. She notices everything with great happiness! 😜 I wonder how long she'd put up with my dad jokes and sarcasm. 🙃

My 4' 10" friend's mum is only 4' 5" and her dad 5' 3", there's no dwarfism or anything of the sort, they're just short! Her older brother is only about 5' 5" too. In the 19th century pub I previously mentioned the door to my friend's bedroom where we'd go to play PS2 (yes, a long time ago) had two steps leading up to the door and the actual door was only about 5' so i'd literally crawl in there just so I didn't bang my head! I have another friend who's 6' 4" and he told me that he's the shortest male in his family. I didn't believe him but when we met up with his two older brothers and his dad at a Rugby game there I was at 6' 2" feeling tiny as they were all 6' 6" or taller! Even his sister is 6' so in heels she's taller than me too! lol

I'm 5'5", but amazingly, have always been the tallest in my household. Growing up, no pun intended, my mum was 5'4", my dad 5'1", and my sister 4'11". My girlfriend is 5'3". So at just 5'5" I'm still the one called on to reach a high shelf or get the loft ladder down. There is a row of Tudor houses near me that have front doors no more than 5' tall, and I'm told less than 6' ceiling height. That would be cramped for me and my tiny family, but a back-breaking, head-banging nightmare for you. 😅

There are pros and cons for being tall or short. I'm 6' 2" and leg room is often an issue in planes/cars, seating in stadiums/cinemas etc. as well as small doorways/low ceilings in older properties. A friend of mine has lived in two old pubs (one was 17th century, the other 19th century) and I lost count the amount of times I banged my head on the beams and doorways. The only true pro for me personally about being tall is that I can reach the ceilings in my house to catch spiders as i'm absolutely terrified of them! I had to catch one yesterday, which I think was the momma spider from a nest that has plagued my bathroom with over 100 baby spiders in recent weeks. *shudders* Another friend of mine is 4' 10" and one pro for her is that she can get clothing/footwear cheaper because she often shops in the kids sections!

I don't know if you remember, but at the end of the kingdom of the little people episode of An Idiot Abroad, Karl phones "a mate of Ricky's" and then somewhere else he said he met him once. Maybe he was referring to this time and he didn't see him again until the start of that third series.

Just to clear up what Warwick said: Karl asked "I take it everything has changed in your house?" Warwick said "No", because not EVERYTHING has changed. Yes, he has low worktops and certain kitchen appliances and such, but a lot of his furnishings are still regular sizel. That's why he wanted Karl to go through the day bit by bit and he would mention along the way if anything is adapted. ☺️

Rick mainly does this to make Karl uncomfortable and see how he responds. I feel sure Warwick was in on some of it, like the sitting on the lap thing. I think Ricky would have made sure Warwick was ok with it. Karl is fascinated with these things and probably had some questions for Warwick. So yeah, just like Learning English with Ricky Gervais, it's just set up for Karl to be made uncomfortable (like the holding of hands etc). What I love about Karl is that no matter the scenario, he's always up for role-playing. :) Science is one of Ricky's stand-ups. I dunno how much you'd be into those. Maybe try one?

You should check out Life’s too short, if you haven’t seen it. Written by Gervais and Merchant. It’s a fly on the wall documentary of an exaggerated version of Warwick’s life as an actor, trying to get work. As you can imagine Ricky writes lots of stuff to put Warwick through, for his own warped amusement, but Warwick realises the awkwardness and inappropriateness of it, makes it funny. He’s a good laugh and plays to his strengths (or got paid well). 🙂
