Rewatching/listening this again. And I can relate to those frustrations with your bestie. It feels terrible to be reaching out to someone only to get ghosted. Communication is key, but that's so hard in a one sided conversation. Then when you get nothing back even just to let you know how much you screwed up, it can sting like a mf. Especially when you feel like you're making the effort but it can make you feel insignificant and stupid for trying, even if they don't always mean to. 😔 So it's great to hear you guys found a way around that and patched things up. It's always nice to hear that some people out there do get to have the happy stories. From the perspective of someone who rarely got to pick up any Ws in life it is always nice to hear at least someone else is getting theirs. 🤗

There is actually a 20 minute audio only episode. It was first broadcast 2 years after this finale episode in 2020 during a thing we had called COVID-19 (not sure if you know/remember that). Not a canonical episode, there was no story advancement, and it wasn't set during the COVID times, but it was nice to hear from the characters again whilst being confined to our homes believing we would all be dead within six months. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p088wzsg

If you recall, when Kayleigh boards the bus near the start of the episode, an advert is shown on the bus stop (or bus shelter as an American would say) for the Channel 4 programme (or show as an American would say) My Big Fat Undatable Bake Off. This isn't a real programme but it's title is based on three real programmes from Channel 4. My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding was an observational documentary about gypsies (or Romani Americans as an American would say) getting married. The title itself was based on the film (or motion picture as an American would say) My Big Fat Greek Wedding. The Undatables was an observational documentary about disabled (or handicapped as an American would say) people, mental in the head and mental in the legs, going on dates and forming relationships. The Great British Bake Off (or The British Baking Show as an American would say) is a competition programme featuring amateur bakers competing to impress professional bakers. Prue Leith, who you recently saw from a team with Big Nastie on Would I Lie to You is/was one of the professional judges. Anyway, my point is that ten years before, Peter Kay combined some other shows Britain's Got Talent (or America's Got Talent as an American would say) Pop Idol (or American Idol as an American would say) The X Factor (a similar format to the above two programmes) I'm A Celebrity Get me Out of Here Superstar (A competition format auditioning people to be in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar) Soapstars (A competition format auditioning people to be in the soap opera Emmerdale Farm) Strictly Come Dancing (or Dancing with the Stars as an American would say) Dancing on Ice (like the above but on ice skates) The title he came up with was 'Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice' but it wasn't just a title this time. The programme was made and it's good and you should react to it. Anyone else who has read this far will agree with me.

What show is next? I’m going to give another shout out to Friday Night Dinner. It’s quite similar in that it’s a simple premise mainly set in one location. A family dinner every Friday night. It’s very funny, I think you’ll love the characters.
