Oh, so many pies!!! In Argy they don't really have sweet pies, just salty stuff! Meat, tuna, chicken, ham and cheese, spinach... etc.

Great set from Greg! Naturally funny and likeable! We do pies of all kinds in the UK, but I think savoury pies are much more popular here than in the US (not sure about Argentina?) Hot savoury meat pies: Steak Steak and kidney Minced Beef and Onion Chicken and mushroom Ham, leek and potato These are generally with either puff pastry or shortcrust pastry. Cottage pie (minced beef, gravy, possibly some vegetables, with mashed potato on top (not a pastry pie) Shepherd's pie (minced lamb, gravy, possibly some vegetables, mashed potato on top (not a pastry pie.) (Not quite sure why we call those two pies, but we do! πŸ˜›πŸ™ƒ) Pork pie (water crust pastry, and cold, chopped pork, sometimes in aspic - a meat jelly) generally served with salad or a lunchtime picnic. And many, many more. We have pasties and slices all with various savoury fillings. Meat and vegetables in pastry is a big thing here! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ƒ We do also have fruit and sweet pies of all kinds. They're found in bakeries and enjoyed as a treat but perhaps not quite as popular as they are in the US. Fun fact; the all "American" Apple Pie was actually invented in England around 1381! It just became very popular when it found its way over to the States and they adopted it as their own, and stuck their flag in it! πŸ˜‚ We still enjoy it here but I've always been a bigger fan of Apple Crumble.....and even better, Rhubarb Crumble! Yum! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crumble?wprov=sfla1
