Oh no, it's not the podcast, it's a short 10 minute video. It's an unofficial task they shot during the filming of the series and released exclusively on the YouTube channel. They usually do a video like every this for each contestant every series. A good way to get to know them a little if you have no idea who they are.

On the podcast Apparently Ed Gamble said they did a version of the duck task in champions of champions but didn't work out (they often do a lot more tasks than get shown and if they don't work out they tweak and reuse them). Hence the random duck they forgot to clean up between Series.

I used to be able to swallow tablets without water as long as I prepared myself. A few years ago, I was picking up a girl who often kept taxis waiting, so I thought I’d pop a couple of paracetamols while I waited. Just as I was about to swallow, she unexpectedly opened the door and got into the front seat. The tablets got stuck in my throat and started dissolving. She looked at me and said, ‘Good morning,’ and I panicked, dry-heaving in her face and continuing to choke as my life flashed before my eyes. So yes, I agree, some water first stops them from sticking and makes them easier to swallow. Thank you for reading. 🙂

One of my favourite things about Taskmaster, Mandy, is that each series introduces me to someone that even as a Brit I'd somehow previously missed and had not been on my radar before - in this series Sophie and Bridget really grew on me a lot but Judi Love is absolutely one of those, maybe the best. A lot of "celebrity" shows here really scrape the barrel when it comes to who they class as a celeb. So when you see a name listed that you don't know then it's squeaky-bum time. Taskmaster usually doesn't let us down thankfully. It can have the opposite effect too though, sadly, where I lose a bit of respect for someone I'd previously liked. Baddiel, Al Murray, Sinnah, Father Dougal, Katherine, Charlotte, Mrs Mitchel and Webb all come to mind. Great series incoming. Thanks. Hope you enjoy too.

Things to find in a skip/dumpster - a big bag of diamonds would be nice, like gta IV? Ok then.. things you're more likely to find in a skip.. a big wad of cash? Ok, hear me out on this one... My mom used to work in a charity shop and often when somebody would pass away a lot of their belongings would be donated to the shop. I couldn't count the number of times she'd tell me something like "we found a few grand stashed in a book today" and crazy things like that - which one can only assume the families had not discovered before donating unless just wanting to donate discreetly. I mean you'd think people would check stuff, right? Even if just to ensure it was of good enough quality to donate? So the amount of things that must NOT get donated - just thrown away without anybody checking... there's a lot of lost money out there.

Pretty good series start. I don't think I know most of the cast. Irish names are very misleading with pronunciation for those who don't know it. e.g. Aisling = [Ash-ling] I need to look that up actually. 🧐 We don't go skip diving as such, but I have one of those dads who "liberates" 😏 certain items. There's at least 8 pint glasses in the cupboard that we've "accidently" taken home. He even once found a near-new chainsaw that had fallen off someone's truck in the middle of a country road. Free!!!! Tho we once did genuinely accidently go home with a McDonald's tray, ah well. Every time him and my mum are out, she says "ooh those are nice." And he goes "d'you want em?" 🤣

Chris Ramsey and Gordon Ramsay) Anyway, this series is great, everyone is fantastic! They're all super fun and there's a lot of good studio banter.
