Airbrushing - check!

The rusty base is a black primer, flat brown + flat yellow for the rust tones, German grey for the greyish stains and some AK Rotbraun for the rust primer.
White base color is flat white + dark yellow for that off-white, creamy tint.
Faded blue is flat blue + white, and the rotting vibe was done with Ammo Shaders: Light Rust, Olive Drab, and Grime.
So... what comes next? A pin wash, then painting all the details and emphasizing some of the rusty chips with a dark rust acrylic paint, then some rust streaks with enamels... and then debris, dry leaves, and moss!

This is different! but still looking forward to it, I love Post-apocalyptic dioramas and this will help enormously,,,how about a armoured train diorama in the future Martin, it could have loads of chipping? 😉

You should use this beetle as the start of a field diorama of abandond, rusty, and decaying cars! That would be epic!
