🕑 Added 2023-08-25 08:11:04 +0000 UTCMy friends, the pallet camouflage is on and boy, did it transform the entire model 😂 I need to add some weathering to blend them with the model, and also add some rags and tarps that are a part of the camouflage.
I started by supergluing them all to the model according to different reference images. Then I tied them to the hull with a very cool material. 0.16 mm braided fishing line that I randomly found in Tesco and thought it might come in handy one day. The string is green, but it absorbs dark enamel washes without any issues, so after that I just had to highlight the texture with acrylics and a pointy brush. Of course, the rope isn’t tied everywhere. Most of the time I used superglue to hold it in place.
As I said, my goal is to finish it today because the upcoming days are going to be VERY busy for me, and I want to take my time with the editing and create a good video! 😊

Even soldiers use rags and cardboard as camouflage in urban combat scenarios... and gotta say, it looks quite effective! Not sure it's the same case on large armored vehicles, but it sure looks interesting :D

I wonder who came up with the pallet idea in real life, and what they thought they were good for - being difficult to handle, to start with.
