I just finished up my Sherman hull interior so this video get's me excited to do the exterior! The RFM kit has a lot more detail out of the box vs this Dragon kit but you've added so much beautiful detail that it inspires me to add even to RFMs design. Thanks!

Always worth the wait……I’ve watched you do welding beads since the ball tank days and still to this day I’m in awe of how you make them look so easy (once did them on a ‘’seehund’ and what a difference!) really looking forward to the vignette, I’ve had the foliage in the back of my mind, thinking ‘how’s uncle going to do THAT?’ Oh boy…..excited don’t even come close!

Yeah, I mentioned the live track system in the video, but ultimately I was much happier with these workable track links. If I had them from the start I'd adjust their tension with the rear idler, but that wasn't an option anymore. On the other hand, even pictures of King Kong himself show a bit of sag!

Uncle nightshift American armor tracks don't sag, unless they are totally loose, they use Live track, the Germans used a different kind of track, known as dead track or dry track. Hence the sag. So the ds styrene is perfectly good for this kit. I only use rubber band tracks on American vehicles or lend lease vehicles, and individual links on other vehicles. Great work on this model thus far! I'm so glad I'm a patron. Oh by the way you may want to invest in a sherman bogie jig, their sold on shapeways, and or produce your own via 3d printing, the jig allows you to drill 4 holes on the bogie, because they had them, and the bodies were designed to be flipped around and use the otherside if need be, hell they could even add a extension to the hull and have the bogie extruded out for less ground pressure, but I've only seen 1 or 2 photos of this. Once they created duck bills the extension out of the hull was obsolete.
