Diorama in the works
🕑 Added 2024-08-08 23:41:06 +0000 UTCMy friends, the video is finished and ready, and I’m already working on the factory diorama!
Making an entire base out of cobblestones is definitely not a quick job 😂 But what I have so far can show you how the “priming” with thick Tamiya paints brushed on top of the foam can fill and reinforce the porous and fuzzy surface.
Also, a crumbled ball of metal foil is really the best texturing tool!!!
I have a bunch of cool ideas planned for this scene, and the figures are on the way. It’s gonna be sweet!
Also, tomorrow I’m leaving for Eastmodels Challenge model show. I’ll have a small discussion board there on Saturday and I’ll be back home on Sunday evening. I’ll try to keep you updated with photos from the show!

Nice clean work. What's your rate? I need some brick work done.

I totally agree with the crumbled tinfoil ball being good; it is one of my favorite homemade tools!

Looking good so far. Already has a look of an old factory. Hope all goes well at the short. Would be good if your discussion was filmed so you can post it here

No matter how many times I watch your videos I can’t quite figure out what foam your using, could you please enlighten me?

Would love to hear more about your foam steps. How did you carve the lines as deep as they are? What was the order of the carve, paint, texture steps? Thanks!

Will the diorama include the crew's pet stray cat? The one that posed for the charming portrait on Ferdinand's hull :D

Can’t wait to see this one. Have a good show
