I'm not really that person haha, I tend to hide in the shadows when it gets too hot. Growing up in Iceland has made my tolerance to heat every low. If it gets above 20 degrees I get dizzy and need to lay down. Thankfully that doesn't happen that much in Iceland. But I do LOVE a cold drink or ice-cream, whatever the weather!
I was in UK last week (clearing out my apartment in Leeds and packing my things) and it got to 30 degrees! It was so awful, especially since I was packing, moving stuff, running around and cleaning. I had also just sold all of my electric fans that normally save me in a situation like that ! So it was very, very awful for me and made the moving progress even more dreadful that it normally is.
The move went alright tho, we managed to pack all of our things and ship it off to Iceland on pallets. (I feel so grown up for doing that) I just got a message today that they've arrived to Iceland and are now going trough customs inspection (they are just making sure I'm not brining in anything illegal). I should have them with me this week and I'll store them in my parent's garage until I have sorted out a new place.
Leaving Leeds is very bitter sweet. I definitely feel like I just closed a chapter in my life and I'm going to miss my friends there a lot :(
But onwards to new adventures !
I hope I'll have a clearer image of what's next for me in a months time.
But I'm going to take care of my hand first. Making some doctors appointments and getting help. I've been dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome for 5 years and it's only getting worse. I can't draw sometimes because it just hurts too much and I fear that it's developed to some nerve damage :( So I definitely need to go and have someone take a look at it.
I hope you are doing alright and taking care of yourself, and getting some sun if that's your cup of tea <3

Thank you so much ! A giant swamp monster sounds about right haha 😂 the humidity in UK makes the cold days feel much colder and the warm days much warmer! Just awful ! I hope your colleague is alright. A surgery sounds really scary but if that’s what’s going to fix my hand I’ll gladly do it. My doctors told me years ago I should rest my hand and it’ll go away but it hasn’t and it’s has made such a big impact on my life now. I can’t carry grocery bags or do anything with it. On bad days even lifting a glass of water is painful. I do struggle when I draw a lot and I feel like if it wasn’t for my carpal tunnel my art would have gone further by now :( I definitely think it’s time to stop trying to push trough it and ask for help and a surgery if that’s necessary 😭💜 thank you so much for saying that! I really appreciate it 🥰
I'm glad that the move has gone well for you, even if it's sad, it must be so nice to be home again 😊 I feel your pain with the hot weather, I've lived here all my life and still can't cope when we have the slightest bit of sun and heat! I think it's because the UK is such a humid place, as soon as we have any heat it just becomes a giant swamp monster. Carpal tunnel sucks, I have a colleague who has just had surgery on one hand and is waiting for a date for the other. Please don't push yourself to create if it hurts, you have an amazing talent and I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself or damage your ability to do the thing you enjoy! I hope the Dr can help you with it!
