Since coming back home, I've learned most of my friends and former coworkers started playing video games pretty heavily in the time between 2017 and today. It's funny because some of these people used to think I gamed too much. This includes my boss who has known me since I was about 15 and used to really tease me about how excited I would get for some game releases. My question for you, then, is how often has someone in your life who shunned gaming suddenly pick up the hobby and really dive into it in an unexpected way. For most of the people I know, the pandemic pushed them to pick up a console and they've been playing since then.

Hey Allies, Do you have a favorite background NPC? Many video games are getting bigger with their worlds, with interesting individuals with personalized stories for you to meet around every corner. But are there any backdrop NPC's who you have resonated with, even with the bare scrap of dialogue they get? This can be shop keeps, random wanderers, a character whose only job is to run around in circles in the town square during daylight hours, any of them. For my own personal example, in Breath of the Wild, in Gerudo City, there is an elderly gerudo woman who sits next to the Hylian Goddess statue for company. She sees through your disguise required in the city immediately, quicker than any other, but respects and welcomes you regardless. Despite having no more than maybe a paragraph of dialogue, I would make sure to visit this worldly, kind soul every time I was in Gerudo City.
