Been hammering at this bad boi for the past month now and I'm honestly having lottsa fun with it!
Hard to imagine it's been 10 months since I last worked on this. And it was pretty clear how far my animation skills have gotten since then!.. Coz ngl, re-watching this animation that I deemed basically "finished" back then was lil bit painful to watch XD... But then again, that's pretty much true in any creative process :3
Anyways, I went right into work polishing and speeding up the animations to make them feel more "snappy" and life-like, updating the old rigs, improving the outside environment, adding complimentary movements to the animations, giving Lumine skimpy panties... all that good stuff :3
It also made me realize how much work its gonna take to update the earlier scenes of the PGW Remake, when this 6 min animation alone is already taking me a over a month to polish (つ╥﹏╥)つ..... Buuuttt that's for future me to worry about ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
On another note!.. I Actually Voiced This One!... Buuuutttt It's for the VA's ears only :p
The dubbing process in Happy Accident taught me that it is REAAALLLYYY hard to direct the VOICE actresses... Without Using My Voice!.. Shocker I know :p... So I went ahead and stepped up my game this time around :3
And after buying a smol recording setup and doing a quick crash course in voice acting through youtube tutorials, I dubbed both Lumine and Sucrose! Put them through a voice changer and plopped them onto the animation as placeholder voice-overs for the VA's :3
It proved pretty darn useful for the animation process as well, as I could use the timings of my speech as "animation cues" for the lip flaps and smol complimentary movements... Howeveeerrr... since I used the actual in-game voices of Lumine and Sucrose for the ai voice changer, I'm afraid I can't share them to you Chads :p
Tho there is still technically no real law prohibiting it, I just think it's unfair for the actual VA's and Hoyo for me to use their voices and make the result publicly available so... it's gonna stay private :p
On yet another topic!.. I found a Sound Guy! And he's gonna be doin' the sfx for this one :3... And lemme tell you! It is sooooo nice not having to worry about doing the sfx anymore XD... Super excited to see (hear) what what he cooks up :3
And now that I've just finished passing the assignments to the VA's and Sound guy, I decided to finally take a week off for the new year while I wait for them to do their thing :3

It's normal to feel like your older works are not finished, that shows you have improved, and everyone can see that in your animations, they are great and i love them. Keep up the good work👍

Yeah it's probably better. I like VAs and yeah it's kinda sad how many jobs getting robbed wit Ai these days. But Ai has its good sides ofc too. With positive things comes negative too was always like that. And yeah need to work on both sides actually haha. If youre interested I can text you but let's say. Christmas at home was much work and I'm a male nurse so need to work on holidays too 😅

Ohh you got work on holidays too? Or maybe is like preparing for celebrations kind of work XD... But yeah, I tend to be very specific with the notes. I already have an idea of what the characters should sound like while animating, and I try my best to direct the VA's and get as close as possible to those... basically voices in my head XD... But I know the VA's can handle it for sure :3 You'd prolly be surprised how good and close the ai voice changer sounded like to actual in-game voices. As long as I copy the mannerisms of Lumine and Sucrose while talking, once I run it through the voice changer and do some editing after. I legitimately sounded like them, is crazy!.. It's part of the reason why I didn't share them tbh. It sounded too close to the real thing :/ Although, it is NOT good with moans and grunts XD... The moment it doesn't understand what youre saying, like say, the word Baizhu, it tries to interpret it as Buy Shoe and it don't sound right. But yeah! Hope you have wonderful Happy New Year my premiere feet connoisseur XD!

With all the work around Christmas I forget to comment so often haha. Sry about that. Crazy how much detail for the dubbing is in there. Like I really needed to stop the animation to read all that. Hope everything works out fine. The AI dubbing is probably not that amazing soooo better vor the VA to keep it for yourself. I'm also excited for the sounds that will be coming. Pink Sama stocking up haha. I said it last time but I guess I say it again. Hope you had a great Christmas time and a Happy new Year from your Feet Guy haha

Yesss! Glad ya liked it! I been working on my expressions recently, and wanted to add lots of it here :3 Imma tweak their expression a bit more once I get the Voice Overs, so that I can fit the expression more with their lines and moans :3

Mmm!.. It was defo pretty rough figuring things out, but defo fun!.. Granted it was "Type 2" kind of Fun but hey! Just as you said, it might be pretty rough in the moment, but in the end, is all worth it :3

I'm sure plenty others have done placeholder voice-overs before. I don know who or which studios does it, but it's waaaaay too useful for me to be the only one using it XD But ye, that disconnect was a huuuge problem in the last animation so I had to find a way to smoothen the workflow between me and the VA's this time around, without requiring in person stuff. And I came up with this!.. Let's just hope it work lol

Utilizing placeholder voice-overs to marry said voice-overs with accompanying animation cues is actually brilliant, normally there's at least *some* disconnect between a VA and the animation, and you're just kind of saying "nope" haha.
