I have unplugged from social media because of that tbh. Shit can be depressing, there is so much other shit we have to worry about in our daily lives. I do see the benefit of engaging in conversations that are difficult, there is no way to solve issues without that. It's also like you said rage bait. I wonder if you feel the same way, and tbh I would be interested knowing if others feel the same way too. I started to feel like, at times even if its coming from genuine passion for the particular topic, you can sort of get the feeling its largely out of anger then it is for meaningful discussion. From an everyday individual level, its not an issue mostly. Unless its from people with a platform (that is supposed to be engaging in those sort of things) it can be harmful. TLDR: Ill shut up now, I have said to much already. Title isn't "Possessive College Student Discusses the Intricacies of Social Media" lmao. Keep grinding as always, and have a good rest of ya day.

The rage bait I see on social media is so sad and it's very easy to engage with it which only pedals more towards you. It can really mess up with your perception of reality and think that people are just downright terrible. There is goodness in this world, you just have to go out there and find it!

Hey DudeDTL. I saw that replied you to a dude who was talking about how he was nervous about going out more and meeting new people. Just wanted to say, thank you for giving that dude a solid response. You have an outreach to lots of people, and everyone across all genders is feeling very lonely, lockdown messed up a lot of people (many of us could probably attest to that). There is also lot of other alternative media, that is dividing women and men, and its very depressing. It's already bad enough given we have a lot more nuanced issues that we as a society are facing in regards to gender equality and other topics TLDR: Keep doing what ya doing, and keep moving people in the right way of thinking in regards to loneliness whenever you can. Even a little words of encouragement can do a lot for people. Thanks!
