This is something I've been thinking about a LOT lately. There's so much to say so the video will do all the talking for me. The essence of it is: I'm making my very last medley. It doesn't mean I quit youtube, it just means I think a lot of people think of me as the guy who does crazy medleys like "All Naruto Openings", "All Power Rangers" etc etc.
I can't do it forever, and also you who were here with me on patreon during my Disney medley, remember I literally sung a new full length disney song every day for 112 days. It was exhausting, but it gave me a different sense of having a creative purpose every day. Everything must come to an end and I wanna start working now, on the biggest medley I've ever done, putting my 5 hours 112 Disney song medley to shame, and I want you guys, to pick 1 song each.
I've already reached out to a handful of you and taken your requests, and have about 10 so far. Some are people who have just re-joined patreon and used to be here in the past, and some who I already knew had a song request they've been aching to hear for a long time.
So, this is how it will work:
1. Everyone who is already a patron and has a request they want in the medley, please go to our Discord server and tell Gisha in that server your patreon username, and your song request. (If you're not on Discord yet, please join here: https://discord.gg/eaD5ky4rJu ) Gisha will add your request to a list we're making together.
2. Later in the day this video will go out to my youtube subscribers, and I will contact them to take their requests and add it to Gisha's list.
3. Eventually when we feel like the list is long enough (as explained in the video) I will delete the video and update the textin this post. Whether that takes 24 hours or 24 days, I don't know, it all depends on how many requests there are. I am thinking that, around 350 songs and about 700 days of work is about the absolute max limit I wish to set, because I'm 36 years old now, and if it's anything less than 350 I can do it in 700 days, but realistically things can happen in life and I wanna have a buffer, meaning 350-400 songs I can 100% do before I turn 40 years old, and that's when I wanna be done with it.
I also want to at some point in the next month have a definite number so I can see the end of it and not have to add a few new every week, so regardless of whether it's 5 or 500 people who have requests for me, I'll remove the video and stop taking submissions in about a month at the very latest.
Ok then, today I get started on my final medley. One I hope will be the longest in history for all time

This is such a bittersweet video. So I'm sort of young on the internet, not really having access to it for my childhood and teen years but I distinctly recall you being among the first musical artists I had stumbled across and kept up with on YouTube back in 2015-ish. I remember looking for gintama songs and you were the only one who did not only one, but every opening song at the time and that blew me away, since nobody was making gintama content of any kind at the time. I went to buy the album off iTunes immediately and had put that record on repeat every morning when I went to work. It's crazy looking back with nostalgia at something that didn't happen all that long ago but my life is in a completely different place now so it feels like an eternity. I'm actually learning to sing myself and can credit you as one of the handful of creators and vocalists who have inspired me to do so. So for that, and all the awesome music you've given us over the years I just want to say thanks, PelleK. I'm looking forward to this medley and every other song you're going to make in the meantime!

It seems I have been following you since March 14th, 2014. Honestly when I tell people about you, it isn't your medley I bring up. It is the fact that you are very talented and able to sing songs in multiple languages and that you give songs a heavy metal feel. I don't remember what song I listen to first but I do know that no matter what you do I will continue to support you the best I can! Although I am a few years older, we will continue to grow older together. So as a wise man once said, “If you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough, set your heart ablaze. :DDD I'm glad you're so excited Mariana!! Yes, no I won't quit youtube but it will definitely be my last medley. Maybe there'll be room for another medley before this one, as it will take an enormous amount of time, but after this I like the idea of knowing I've done my last medley. Wow, this is a huuuuge task. Glad you're not setting a time limit on it tho, we worried about your health when you were banging out the Disney tunes every day! Im so torn between two songs, one for a bloke I see on almost every one of your vids on YT going back years and Twitter etc and the other that would make you smile! Decisions, decisions.... Oh and btw, you're not chuffin old!!!
