I agree, Edward x Hayle for sure, Ed may or may not know it but he definitely feels a strong bond or connection with hayle considering that he can comfortably fall asleep in her arms, may I remind you that this is the guy who is still going through a whole lot of things, from suddenly being reincarnated, losing a love one❤️ and has severe mother and abandonment issues also him feeling guilty towards haylee helps in sealing the deal here.

I liked it especially since it gave a foreboding feeling as soon as you switched to Desiree. It felt from enjoyment of life to dangers and fears of life.
