It's a housekeeping issue like JP says. Also, it gives me a release schedule for them on Patreon which I think has been working well. When I finish the pages for this Steeple volume and move on to something else, it might not be so tidy but it's been working over the last year or so.

I believe it’s so everything can be nice an tidy for trade collections, or if a publisher decides to pick up the series as issues later.
I think it's interesting to see you releasing webcomics split into "issues" despite there being no real "need" to do so. Is there a reason you've chosen to go this route?
