They have highly refined and homogenized their flow of Animus, and used it to reach the technological and spiritual status of demigods. They keep their planet tucked away in a nebula away from the rest of the galaxy for fear that their technologies could be used for evil.
SO! They teleport all sorts of sentient beings to them and invite them to fuck around with all their holes. This causes animus exchange. When they absorb crude animus of lower lifeforms it causes them to absolutely trip dick while their purer animus attempts to filter out the imperfections.
Its like licking poisonous toads.......or fucking them. I haven't thought this all the way through yet.
Whichever one of these little weirdos snagged Chuck has lucked out.
