Gintoki uses a wooden sword because it’s illegal to carry a real blade unless you’re a government official and he doesn’t want the trouble. Never was officially confirmed, but the agreed upon assumption is that Shoyou’s katana is with his grave and that Gin’s is possibly there too

About Kamui and kagura - Kagura know side of kamui that he hide his wound also he don’t want to show his enemy his weakness if he get hurt or something and she uses that weakness to defeat him and all this wound was when sougo fight him.
