Yeah, it somewhat reminded me of Kenshin and I think it's like they always feel in distress that they can't feel safe. It's really sad and I think part of it is his trauma from Donovan.

Griffith is complicated. He does want Guts for the Hawks, it’s his fascination with Guts as a person that Casca finds unusual. Yes, you are right, to Griffith, Guts is very precious. As far as fighting on the battlefield, both of them are very good at it. Don’t sell Guts short! He was raised in battle so he does know stratagems and how to fight. He just does it differently than Griffith. It’s very sad when Guts cradles his sword to go to sleep. It is basically his teddy bear. Really, he cannot sleep without cuddling it or having it nearby. Very sad. All your theories are fun to listen to! All will be revealed! Still early days in the Golden age arch...... we have a long way to go!
