Depends on the style your after. And if they would be "warhammer" inspired. Miners =Pawns Armoured warriors = rooks Slayers = knights Runesmith = Bishops Shieldmaiden = Queen Thane = King
More of a throwback to the original fantasy dwarf or better yet reach further back to the original Scandinavian mythology
Something more interesting than short Scottish humans which is what Dwarves become in the last 20 years if fantasy
